It's been a Roller Coaster ride for 7-8 weeks now ... Started from 79 kgs Bodyweight with 3000 calories.... Now down to 74.5-75 kgs body weight n eating 2300 calories.... 🔥(12k steps/daily with very min cardio) . . As i said earlier contest prep is not just about eating less n getting lean... 🔥SLIDERS ABS & CORE🔥 . . Sliders are way too underrated, imo. Talk about a serious way to up your core-strength game.😅🙌🏻 Incorporating them into your workout routine can 1000% increase your core strength & stability *when used properly* . Get yourself some sliders, a smooth surface (hopefully one that’s a lil more slippery than what I’m workin with🤣), & a goal-CRUSHER mindset & fire up that core.👏🏻😉 . . THE WORKOUT: 1️⃣Slow mountain climbers. ⭐️Focus on keeping your shoulders, elbows, & wrists in a straight line the whole time you’re in plank position. EXHALE each time you drive your knee to you chest. Don’t let that bum come up! 2️⃣Low plank leg swings. ⭐️In low plank, keep your elbow & shoulder in a straight line, & start by extending your legs straight put & in line with your elbow. Keep your leg as straight as possible as you bring your top foot up as high as you can. EXHALING with each swing up. 3️⃣Wide mountain climbers. ⭐️Same alignment as the slow climbers. The only difference is that you’re taking each knee out wide to meet the same-side elbow. Again, remember to EXHALE with each knee drive. 4️⃣Knee tucks. ⭐️Again, same alignment in your plank. Bring both knees in toward your chest, squeeze your abs, & the extend your legs back out straight into plank. EXHALING you drive knees to chest. 5️⃣Plank arm circles. ⭐️Start with the same plank alignment & make wide circles away from your center-point. BREATHE. 6️⃣Pikes. ⭐️A true nemesis🤣 especially with a not-so-slippery surface. This is pretty advanced so try your best and work up to it! Try to keep your knees straight as you bring your body up into an upside-down V-shape, & then slowly return back into plank with straight legs. I’m just starting to feel like myself again after taking a very long break from consistently working out. My energy was low, my self esteem was going downhill and I just felt like I wasn’t as productive as I could be. It’s so funny to me that adding 3 practices a week, 9 hours of extra driving time, and the commitment of being on an elite team has me feeling more organized than before. Luckily I also had @dropboxing_to to make me sweat, but I’m so happy to be back on a rigid workout schedule. World’s Becca will be back before she knows it! 🙊

BUILDING YOUR OWN WORKOUT PLAN by @kruckifitness - What's great about being able to create your own workout plan? YOU GET TO WORKOUT ON YOUR TERMS, IN A WAY THAT YOU ENJOY! Working out doesn't have to be something you dread, it should be something you look forward to! One way to look forward to going to the gym is to make a workout plan you love. - Now that being said, when you make your own workout plan, you want to take these ideas into consideration so your plan can be optimal for muscle building progress. - 1) USE MOSTLY COMPOUND EXERCISES: Compound exercises are multi-joint movements that work more than 1 muscle at a time. Some example include squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press, etc. Compound exercises should make up bout 80% of your exercises, while the other 20% can be from isolation movements, like bicep curls or triceps pushdowns for example. - 2) USE MULTIPLE REP RANGES: Improving in multiple rep ranges is a great ways to increase strength and muscle all around. Working in only one rep range for too long can cause staleness. - 3) TRAIN MUSCLES 2-3X/WEEK: Rather than blowing out a muscle group in one session each week, spread out over 2-3 times a week. This will allow you to get more volume in throughout the week. - 4) MAKE SURE IT'S SUSTAINABLE FOR YOUR LIFESTYLE: This is the most important. Consistency is key, so make sure you create a routine you can stick to over time. Work your workout plan into your life in a way that is sustainable. 🔥Bodyweight progressions for gainz🔥 . Follow @dancudes . There is this big misconception out there that you can't make gains with bodyweight training. Now, while I understand that incline presses, squats, and deadlifts are some of the best exercises to exist, the latter which I do frequently, throwing around barbells is not the only option you have to make gainz. In fact, most barbell throwing gym goers struggle to do 20 proper pushups or 10 proper pullups. You can make some serious gainz with calisthenics and it comes down to training progressions. Just as you add 2.5lbs to the bar everytime you up the load on a barbell, you move up a progression with bodyweight training and as you move up progressions, a different demand and load of higher intensity is placed on the body which thus leads to building both strength and mass. For example, moving from diamond pushups to typewriter pushups is quite the challenge and provides your body with a new stimulus to which it has to adapt. Some of my favourite progressions for the three most basic of the bodyweight exercises are: . ➡️ Pushups: knee -< regular -< diamond -< typewriter -< Archer ➡️ Pullups: Band assisted -< iso hold -< negatives -< regular -< typewriter ➡️ Squats: BW -< Bulgarian split squats -< shrimp squats -< 1 leg to bench -< pistol .
