These two always make me feel better on the worst of days. Two Mondays ago on 8/12 I picked things up I shouldnt have, carried them long distances including down flights of stairs. Yes im stubborn. (For those who dont know me, i have 4 herniated discs in my upper back, so cant pick up heavy things - thats for sure). Since then I have been waking up w a pain level of 4 or 5/10 and by the afternoon its a 7 to 9/10 depending on what ive done that day. With that said, ive been having much less motivation or ability to go to the gym. I think ive been twice, and wasnt able to stay much longer than 30 minutes.Today was pretty bad but ive noticed the pain is not getting better without being active and I just need to suck it up. So i went to the gym today and by staying with the mindset that if i followed what i knew worked for me carefully, I would be helping the pain and not making it worst, i was able to have a very good back workout. Indidnt half ass it. I got through it. And im pretty sure, at least im hoping, that my mind and body will still thank me for going when i wake up tomorrow. Been thinking a lot about what I want to do after this job. I definitely want to work abroad again! But in the field of photography, I'm not so sure. I'm burning out and begining to hate this side of it. I'm not rewarded for being creative, I'm rewarded for following the template and getting big sales. Which sucks. If you're motivated by money it's great. There's also nowhere nearby to disconnect from work. Home is work, work is work. Beach is work. I definitely want to go Iceland in October either in a camper van or do a 10 day trip round the whole island staying in farm houses and apartments along the way. If anyone is interested in coming along for an adventure you're welcome to tag along. (Provided I actually know you) This is a chance for me to do some personal photography for myself and disconnect. I also need to see another country to hit my target of visiting 3 different countries by the end of the year! Scotland? 😝 After that I need to find something else to do. I've been looking at Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Doing anything except photography 😂 In terms of fitness goals, I want to get my main lifts up again and closer to the targets I set at the beginning of the year. It would be unrealistic to hit them now but maybe by early next year it could be possible. Tomorrow I will do another little video, this time of back and biceps day 💪

By: @kpnfit Used to dread summer because of the clothing and honestly, losing weight didnt change that😂 i still hate wearing shorts, i still have insecurities with summer clothing, but i’m try to challenge myself and wear what i wanna wear even if i’m not feeling 100%. i remember crying before that pic on the left because it was my graduation party and i felt so uncomfortable with my body, just months before i hit my breaking point. i never thought that losing weight redefined my value but it is something that i wanted to do. the newfound confidence doesn’t come from a smaller body, but it comes from my determination and ability to set a goal and see it through💕 198.6 lbs ——< 149 lbs; 5’5 for reference. happy #transformationtuesday __ ➡️Follow us @healthknown

I was really down the past week or so because I’ve been ready to launch my shoe line for over a year now, I’ve worked extremely hard to make the money from other streams of income to build & invest in something that I will call my own. With no handouts and no come up’s. Just the favor of God over my life & working my Butt off. Just when I thought I was heading for victory God blocked it & said “ not yet.” Frustrated, confused I needed God to help me understand why he was blocking my victories of going to next level. I had the faith & the works but was lacking patience. He showed me part of it was because I haven’t even taken the time to truly embrace the victories of the level that I’m currently on. He showed me how I get so busy focusing on my “next” that i have forgotten my here and now. 3 years ago i lost EVERYTHING materialistic but I gained so much internally. Being human i got caught up in what was going on around me that I didn’t pay attention to what God was doing in me. He was creating something new in me, he was creating a server in me; he was creating humility in me, he was creating new strength in me; he was creating a masterpiece in me for his glory. But he had to take me low so that no matter how high I go I wouldn’t look low on others. I’m more giving, loving, & humble now than I was before the weight loss, before being financially stable, before the platform. If I hadn’t of gone through that darkness I don’t know if I would have been able to handle this level the way I do. To take care of a mother who never took care of me; still believe in true love and real companionship when I’ve yet to find it, to be able to handle praise without letting it go to my head, I don’t know if I would still be able to see the best in people who shows their worst, or be patient to wait when God says wait. In spite of all I’ve been through, I’ve never given up on me or GOD. For that, I’m deserving of being proud of me. Never give up no ma

🍌 🍨 Nice cream is never naughty and always nice! I know you guys like simple recipes, so heres the easiest ever 2-ingredient recipe! It’s also vegan and dairy free 🙌🏼 woo! _ First peel and freeze 🍌 bananas ahead of time, otherwise it won’t have the right consistency. And you can add a teaspoon of optional vanilla if you like! _ I use a regular blender or food processor, add chopped frozen banana + almond milk. Pulse until bananas are creamy, adding more almond milk and stirring until well blended. _ This literally took 5 minutes and was so good! Snack-Sized vs Meal-Sized 👶👩 . I love enjoying a good chia pudding as a meal OR a snack. It’s important to look at the components that go into each! . 👩 For chia seed pudding meals, I generally add protein powder to boost the pudding up to be between 25-30 g of protein. I also add another source of fat (almonds and almond butter) for some extra satiety. . 👶 For snacks, I generally try to get two food groups - for the snack sized chia pudding, I have a fat (chia) and a carb (fruit). . When you weigh in earlier than usual, there might still be some food left in your stomach, don’t worry. It’s food. It’s not fat. Okay? Good! - Water retention is a big one, eating more high sodium foods and/or more carbs in a day than usual will cause your body to retain more water. Even having a solid workout the day before can cause your body to retain water!! But heck, who cares about water weight?
