Chicken parm + spaghetti squash for dinner tonight! Also Caesar salad with a homemade olive oil dressing! The tomato sauce is also homemade, and is just a can of crushed tomatoes, half an onion and some garlic, and spices! I may or may not make a meal of this 🤦🏽‍♀️ but only when I need a fat bomb! It is also fantastic as an appetizer or party dip! This is one of those things that we made long before we started keto, and thankfully, can still eat it. It is fantastic on vegetables, keto crackers, or pork rinds. . . Keto Smoked Salmon Dip 8 servings . . Ingredients 8oz cream cheese 1/4 c sour cream 2 T mayonaise 1 T fresh dill, chopped 8oz flaked smoked salmon . . Directions Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and dill until well combined. Stir in salmon until just combined. Note: if you do not have flaked salmon, you can use sliced, but I put it through the food processor first. . . 🔥Basement Chronicles🔥 @owen_wetherell has been joining me for lifting sessions. He has a little experience lifting (>6 months) but this is the first time I’ve been able to coach him up in person. This video of his RDLs is week 2 of practicing hip hinges 😳 He is crushing weights and best of all it looks like he’s been doing it for years. A few simple cues and he’s off and running. My coaching style has changed significantly away from trying to tell someone to “squeeze this” or “contract that” since hearing the phrase “joints act, muscles react” which I believe I stole from @compoundperformance_ and @katie.stclair.fitness and I’m sure many others. It stuck with me not only because it’s logical and true, and but because of the immense difference it makes with people I coach. Key takeaways- 1) not trying to retract the shoulder blades. This would alter the physics of the movement and likely involve a lot more erectors and a lot less abs 2) chin is tucked and his cervical and thoracic spine are not overextended from trying to keep his head or chest up 3) he allows his hips to drive the movement through the concentric instead of reverting to extending his back He said the cue he liked the most was to imagine someone had tied a rope around his waist and was pulling it backwards! What do you guys think? Anything I missed? It can be challenging to bench press while staying at home so how about using a Swiss ball as a support. You won’t be able to press as much but will engage a lot more muscles such as the glutes, the leg’s muscles, the obliques and the posterior chain. Make sure to keep your hips up as you are pressing. He was 185 cm (6 ft 1 in) tall and weighed 178 kg (392 lb) in 1963, 317 kg (700 lb) in 1966 and 442 kg (975 lb) in September 1976. In March 1978, Minnoch was admitted to University Hospital, Seattle, where consultant endocrinologist Dr Robert Schwartz calculated that Minnoch must have weighed more than 635 kg (1,400 lb), a great deal of which was water accumulation due to his congestive heart failure.⁣ ⁣ 🛌 In order to get to University Hospital, Seattle, it took a dozen firemen and an improvized stretcher to move him from his home to a ferry-boat. When he arrived at the hospital, saturated with fluid and suffering from heart and respiratory failure, he was put in two beds lashed together. It took 13 people just to roll him over.⁣ ⁣ 🏥After nearly two years on a diet of 1,200 calories per day, he was discharged at 216 kg (476 lb).⁣ In October 1981 he had to be readmitted, after putting on over 89 kg (197 lb).⁣ ⁣ ⚖️When he died in September of 1983 he weighed more than 362 kg (798 lb).

I'm so over the weight related Covid talk, and now that it's aimed at children... Really?⁠ ⁠ Families are concerned about and experiencing food insecurity. People are losing jobs and worried about putting food on the table. Parents are distressed because their children received 1-2 balanced meals per day at school and now they're not.⁠ ⁠ Yes!! Focus on getting these kids meals so they are fed. But leave the weight out of it. You say food insecurity is associated with "unhealthy" weight. Let's stop making weight the issue and focus on food insecurity. Period. That's where it should stop. Get the kids food.⁠ ⁠ And while movement is a great outlet for pent up energy, especially in the midst of a GLOBAL PANDEMIC requiring isolation, let's not tell parents they should prioritize physical education.⁠ ⁠ So many parents are trying to work while at home, teach their children, and get food on the table. Yes, let's try to move our bodies because it feels good and to get energy out. But let's not put another burden on parents and children. We're ALL adjusting and doing our best.⁠ ⁠ And let's definitely not make parents or kids concerned about too much food or body size right now (or ever!) There are far bigger concerns. And bringing another fear into the picture, one that's not even founded in good science, is the troubling part. Not a child gaining some weight during a pandemic. Plus, kids are supposed to grow and gain weight. This is my “I’m fine everything’s fine face” when you realize you’re not even half way done with the stretch 😅🤣 SO I’ve come to the realization (one I already was full aware of) but that my mobility SUCKS and I know I don’t stretch nearly as much as I should ESPECIALLY now that I am not actively going to my gym. I’ve also realized I’m sitting way more because of work and need to remember to get up and move my body throughout the day which is why I am making it a goal to take at least 15-30 minutes a day and focus on stretching. . Major thank you to my gym @crossfitprosperity for hosting a class tonight where we used @romwod to help stretch us out. I never realized how tight my muscles were and how little movement i had in them till starting CrossFit. More or less because i began using muscles i never used before. . Now is a great chance to focus on those things that you said “eh maybe tomorrow” or things you just never got around to doing. All we can control right now is our actions and mindset so let’s take advantage of that. In a way it’s been nice to take a step back through all of this. Realizing how grateful I am for my job, my family, my friends, my health, everything around me is something I realize I don’t do enough of. . ➡️ Take time to breathe and focus on yourself. Take time to appreciate this life we all have. Take time to reach out to friends and family who made need you to the most in this. Take time to appreciate all the men and women fighting this thing head on because they are some BADASS people who deserve major kudos 👏🏻 Again, just take this extra time we all have and do the things that make your soul happy 💛😊

I haven’t posted this in awhile so I am hoping this helps me get back on it. This covid thing has me pretty stressed out. I am working from home and I honestly would rather be back in the office with my second family..my work peeps! I am a stress eater and I have been eating so much crap. I gained this week but the good news is I lost the weight I gained in February in March plus a little more. I think all my walks are a great help in why I am not gaining to much. #aboutmonday . Hello #warrior ☀️ . Lundi très chargé aujourdhui. Reveil très tôt pour refaire les stocks de provisions. J'ai enfin pu récupérer du cacao ! #hallelujah ! Mais avec le monde, j'ai passé énormément de temps à faire mes courses entre plusieurs magasins. Mais ça fait du bien de sortir et reprendre la voiture. 🚘 . Apres un petit dej bien mérité et une méga douche, j'ai occupé ma journée avec mes devoirs, une bonne heure de dessin (@petit_patey_art ) , des séries . Pas de sport aujourdhui car je deviens accro et mon corps se muscle trop..🙈 je naime pas ça : mes muscles deviennent apparent.... . . herrooooo it is me. I’ve been doing lots of relaxing and self reflecting during dis here quarantine ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve been trying to set goals on things I want to see myself change, whether that’s going to bed at a reasonable time or drinking! more! water! because I’m really bad at remembering that lol. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve been still lifting, just making do with what I have. Lucky to be healthy enough to workout! Waking up and working out in the sun next to my plants isn’t so bad I guess🤷🏻‍♀️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ll start recording home videos if anyone’s interested - All I have is a 15lb dumbell and ankle weights... so sometimes I need to get creative😅😂⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Not feeling as motivated or buff 😢 as I was a month ago, but I will in time. 1 month difference. March 4 / April 4. -14,8 lbs / -7,1 kg. • • I’ve been dreaming about -8 kg. It was my motivation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do this. But I’m happy, I still have a result. CARDIO CUT BACK! Guys! Since 2 weeks now, I am not doing any high intensity cardio anymore like I used to (at the gym or jogging outside) because of issues with my knee (Satorius muscle is irritated). All I do at the moment is go for an hour walk and do strength training that does not put too much pressure on my knees. STORY TIME . This workout was from the 2019 CrossFit Games “Down and Back Chipper” @crossfitgames 800m run 30 HSPU 30 DB thrusters 30 box jump overs 30 power cleans 30 box jump overs 30 DB thrusters 30 HSPU 800m run . I was the last one through the box jump overs in the first half of the workout and this about gave my mom a heart attack which is always fun🤷🏼‍♂️ #pacing . After all of us got to the power cleans it seemed like every single one of us were going rep for rep. It was very hot outside and we all knew this was going to be a battle all the way until the end.🥵 . If anyone knows who @spraguerrrr is you know he will out run anyone in a workout. We ended up getting to the second set of HSPU at about the same time. And I had one thought in my head the entire time I was doing handstand push ups....(during this picture) . “If you don’t get a head start on this run by at least 45 seconds James is going to catch you.”😂 . Anyways that’s my story.
