Ich weiß ja nicht wieso, aber irgendwie steht mir der Sommer einfach besser 😝 • Mittlerweile liegen 10 Jahre zwischen diesen Bildern... Ich war schon als Kind dick. Das lag nicht an mangelnder Bewegung, sondern an den russlanddeutschen Essgewohnheiten zuhause 🥟🥘🍖🍞🐟🍰🥮 Papa hatte den Glücksstoffwechsel und konnte trotz Topform immer so viel fressen, wie in ihn reinpasste. Eine meiner Schwestern hat dieses Glück geerbt. Wir anderen leider nicht 😭😬 • Tja. Bleiben zwei Wege übrig: es akzeptieren und weiter dick sein. Oder das Schicksal in die eigenen Hände nehmen und alles ändern 💪🏼‼️💯 Ab etwa 20 wurde ich immer noch dicker... Trotz viel Sport und ganz normaler Ernährung (ohne Fressorgien). Mit 21 kam die Diagnose Schilddrüsenunterfunktion - weshalb ich ohne etwas zu ändern immer dicker wurde, selbst mit Diät und Sport nicht abnehmen konnte und unzählige Symptome hatte, wie Kopfschmerzen, ständige Müdigkeit, depressive Stimmung, ständiges Kälteempfinden, spröde Haare und Fingernägel, Libidoverlust usw. usf. • Ich war immer dick, aber so dick tatsächlich durch die Erkrankung... 95 Kilo zu Topzeiten 😰 Mal ohne Blatt vorm Mund: mich kotzen Leute an, die 150 Kilo und mehr wiegen und nur Ausreden vorschieben... Ja: Lipödem ist echt furchtbar. Der Körper bildet unaufhörlich Fettzellen, in einer Diät greift er nur Muskulatur und nicht das kranke Fettgewebe an. Das ist, wenn es jemand tatsächlich hat, eine echte Qual inklusive Schmerzen und muss mit Lymphdrainage, Beinwickeln oder idealerweise mit Liposuktion des krankhaften Fettgewebes behandelt werden. Selbst hier können Betroffene aber durch ihre Ess- und Lebebsgewohnheiten gegensteuern‼️ Leider meint gefühlt derzeit jeder übergewichtige Mensch eine Schilddrüsenunterfunktion oder alternativ Lipödem zu haben... In 95% ist es schlicht und ergreifend das Essen in Verbindungen mit mangelnder Bewegung... #sorrynotsorry • Würdest du gerne abnehmen oder deinen Körper in Form bringen? Dann verschwende deine Energie nicht fürs Jammern, sondern ändere dein Leben 💪🏼 • PS: so krass shredded wie rechts bin ich natürlich nur kurz vor den Wettkämpfen 😉 3-4 Kilo mehr sind deutlich entspannter - und auch gesünder 😋

This tweak on the standard #deadlift increases the range of motion since you’re lifting from an elevated surface. The hips and #glutes have to work harder to complete the movement. Basically throughout my fitness journey I can say I’ve been intimidated by the free weights section in the gym. ⠀ ⠀ 🙇🏻‍♀️ When I would walk over to pick up weights I felt the glares from the men lifting around me. Not the most inviting atmosphere for a woman. Sometimes I just turned around and head back to the cardio section. ⠀ ⠀ 🙎🏻‍♀️I was frustrated lifting on the weight machines and was sick of running on the treadmill. So I decided to plan out what I would do with the free weights and just go do it. ⠀ ⠀ 😥 I remember walking around guys lifting towards the 10lb dumbbells. Quickly, I grabbed them and found a bench to work-out at. I completed my reps and quickly placed the weights back and left. Wait, that wasn’t so bad. Nothing happened. 🙌 I was all in my head and nervous for nothing. 🤷🏻‍♀️⠀ ⠀ 🏋🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♂️Now I enjoy working-out with my husband. Over the past month or so, I have been dealing with a lot of joint and muscle pain on a daily basis. I haven’t really felt good but I haven’t felt “bad enough” to call myself sick. While we rule out if I’ve just been doing too much vs a metabolic issue, I have to slow down. For the next few weeks I’ve been advised to stop any weight bearing/resistance exercise and any intentional workouts for 2 weeks. In the past, that would have been great news since I hated exercising. But now, not exercising sounds scary ( what if I lose what progress I’ve made?), sad ( I am enjoying it even with the issues I’ve been experiencing ) and just frustrated that my body won’t cooperate. This morning someone sent me this quote and it was just right. I may have hit an exercise wall (for now) but I am still in control of my food choices and have to be extra intentional with what and when I eat. It will be fine and wouldn’t the best reason for my symptoms actually be me overdoing it? Gotta reframe and push forward!

Supper tonight was two of these challenging berry cacao butter balls by Tasti, plus 2 unpictured mini mandarins. PTW Today unfortunately my intake wasn't the best due to both eating disorder and non eating disorder related stress but tomorrow is a new day and I'm getting more and more tired of this anorexia bulshit in my mind 24/7. I have a habit of saving up calories for night time as I just never get an appetite during the day or at least that's what my anorexia is telling me. I really don't feel well at the moment and I got injured playing volleyball during PE at school today but I'll still probably have to go to school tomorrow. 😥 I'm thinking of beginning to post my full days of eating again soon just so I have something to keep me accountable because yesterday and today I've been sleeping a little bit and I found when I recorded my intake on here it was easier to keep myself pulled away from the eating disorder behaviours and restrictions. #TransfortmationTuesday these pictures are almost a year old already! These show the progression from my FIRST pictures I ever took before starting ANY program in April 2018, to December of 2018. During this time I was not SUPER consistent. I would start a program work it for a couple weeks, then miss a couple days and start over. I wasn’t SUPER focused on my nutrition, but I did more than I had done before! Going from binge watching EVERYTHING known to man to literally only doing 30 min workouts 4 times a week (on average) and I STILL got these results. I believe I completed Piyo, 21 Day Fix and started dabbling in LIIFT 4 during these months! I also remember starting a hybrid Piyo/T25 and not finishing it! This year I finished that hybrid calendar and it FELT SO GOOD! There is no better feeling than the pride of making a commitment to yourself and seeing it through!! When we break promises to ourselves we give a million excuses “well I did my best” “I was tired” “life was so busy! It’s not my fault!” But LISTEN, you owe it to yourself to make yourself a PRIORITY. Working on your health and fitness goals LITERALLY allows you to show up for others in your life in a more focused and confident way. ⁣ I spent years overweight and accepted that that was who I was when really I hated it. ⁣ ⁣ I would do crash diets restricting myself until I caved and binged out putting the weight back on. Today’s Transformation Tuesday coming at you with a pic from about 4 years ago (I think) when I first fell in love with deadlifts. And the second pic was taken yesterday. Not at my heaviest OR my lightest in either of these pics but roughly 5 stone difference if I had to guess. Yes the transformation is clear to see from a weight loss perspective, but one of the biggest transformations has been my mindset when it comes to training. I had a goal during the time the first pic was taken, and that was to get to a 100kg deadlift. Soon after I tried (and failed) a 92.5kg deadlift. I didn’t like the failure, so I threw my toys out of the pram and didn’t train again for 2.5 years. How silly 🤷‍♀️ Now, well I smashed that goal over a year ago, and currently on a 125kg deadlift max. But my mindset is different now. I ‘fail’ quite often on my main lifts, especially when I’m going for a new PB, or new amount of reps, but I also succeed quite a lot, and that’s because I never really ‘fail’ I suck it up, train the way I’m told to, and know that by doing so, the progress will come. Sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly. But I know it will come. Work hard and reap the rewards. Nothing comes easy. This isn't your typical transformation post...There's no dramatic weight loss, only about 12lbs between the two pics. And this isn't about hating the girl on the left. That body grew a human and suffered preeclampsia less than 8 months before. And even after the most traumatic year of her life, she still managed to run and finish a 1/2 marathon.🏃‍♀️ But the girl on the right has her confidence back. Up at 5:00 AM as part of my #last90days challenge. And despite my best efforts so is my 9 month old. I could give you all the reasons why I might as well sleep in (and by sleep in I mean bring the baby in the bed and co-sleep/nurse) but I am not going to do that. Thankfully this little guy is small and doesn’t take away from my quiet moments to myself too much. Yes, of course I wish I got this hour to myself but I know I am in a different season in my life. This will end. One day both of my babies will be teenagers and I will get all the mornings to myself. But for now I am waking up at 5 and sometimes I get 30 minutes to myself, sometimes I let my son cry for a few minutes so I can scribble out my gratitude practice in my journal and sometimes he is up before my alarm and I have him in my lap as I write in my journal. There are 71 days left in 2019, and it’s the beginning of the holiday season. Costco already has Christmas 🎄 decorations up! I haven't even eaten my kids Halloween candy yet 🤣 I don’t know about you but as we head into the end of the year I often start to get super relaxed with all the things that made me feel SO good all year. Nutrition is the first to go followed by coasting through my workouts. What happens then is I feel like 💩. My tummy hurts and I have 0️⃣ energy. And there are SO many parties and activities and I don’t want to be THAT girl who doesn’t partake in all the fun 🤷‍♀️ I could just wait until next YEAR to start fresh BUT what if this year was different. What if this year YOU and I decided to make the most of the LAST 71 days! I am NOT talking about spending hours in the gym or giving up 🍕 and 🍷 and holiday treats. I am talking about effective, under 30 minute workouts that can be done from the comfort of your own home, an easy to follow meal plan that allows for life’s indulgences and a community of support unlike ANYTHING you’ve ever experienced! Finding something I ❤ doing is key and having people doing it too helps! Starting in November my gals and I will be doing one of these: either a 20 minute cardio program or a 25 minute program that uses light weights (this is the program I have been doing and love!). I love that both of these programs have totally different vibes, but are also short enough to fit into my busy day. WHY I QUIT !! - As most of you may know, for the past three weeks I’ve been in the process of trying out for my schools rowing team. But... I quit. For a few reasons: - 1. My health was suffering. I’ve sustained quite a few chronic injuries from my years of gymnastics, and because of that I was in really bad pain every single day. It hurt to walk to class, study, even climb into my bed at night. - 2. My anxiety was at its absolute peak. I knew college was going to be crazy busy, and I straight up did not have the time for twice daily practices and all of the homework and studying that my classes required. As a result, I was so stressed and anxious just in those THREE WEEKS, I knew I couldn’t do that (healthily, anyway) for the next four years (if I were to make the team) - 3. It wasn’t realistic. I go to a D1 school, and If you look at the roster, you know what the coaches are looking for: a 5’8”+ girl with years of rowing experience and who has already won multiple titles. It was pretty straight-forward. - REALISTICALLY, my chances of making the team were extremely slim, and it was not worth it to me to put my health, school, and time on the line when in the end my name would not have been on that roster. - Does this seem overly pessimistic? Maybe to you, but not me. Sure, I could have finished out tryouts and given it my all, but I knew I’d be suffering the whole time, and not in a “suck it up” kind of way, but in a “maybe you should go home” kind of way (lol). - I’m not here to advocate for quitting, I’m here to remind you to weigh the risks and benefits of going forward. It may be that it’s just not worth the risk, and that should be taken as a sign to call off your plans. Just my opinion, but there’s my update.

Fred agrees 🐶 . 9 weeks until Baby Rees is due to be evicted and he’s already proving to be a little chunk after today’s growth scan 😍 . Seeing him healthy, grabbing his feet, having a little play around, and a good quality bit of fresh air is just what I needed today ❤️ . Anzeige || STRESST EUCH BITTE NICHT! . Hallöchen meine Lieben 🥰 Ich hoffe ihr seid gut in die neue Woche gestartet? Ich bin heute bereits kurz in meiner Story darauf eingegangen: Viele schrauben ihr Sportpensum herunter, allerdings stressen sie sich dann damit eine gewisse Schrittzahl zu erreichen oder regelmäßig LISS-Einheiten zu machen. Durch meine Sportpause aufgrund dem Periodenverlust habe ich tatsächlich einfach nochmal eine ganz andere - und ich finde viel gesündere - Einstellung gegenüber dem Sport bekommen. Fitness und Bewegung soll dir und deinem Körper gut tun, du solltest Spaß daran haben und dich dabei wohl fühlen. Versuch dich nicht zu irgendwas zu zwingen, erlaube dir auch mal Pausen, der Körper braucht das. . Eine gesunde und bewusste Ernährung sowie das Training werden immer eine große Leidenschaft von mir sein. Und ich freue mich immer wieder darüber, wenn auch andere Menschen sich dafür begeistert und ihre Freude daran finden. ABER ich wünsche mir, dass jeder irgendwann ein gesundes Maß findet und die richtige Balance für sich. Denn LEIDER rutschen viele schnell immer in ein Extrem, was dann nicht mehr „gesund“ ist. 🙏🏼

The past few weeks I haven’t eaten nearly as many veggies as I would’ve wanted to 😅 Between so much travel and busy work days in between, my meals needed to be QUICK (there were lots of PB&J’s! 🥰) So I totally get it when clients tell me they don’t have it time to cook. It’s so unrealistic to expect to cook every night! And breaking news: ordering in or eating out can still totally be healthy 💯 Buuuut when you do have some time to cook, you should def make this Fall Harvest Bowl with Tahini Dressing 🍁 It has roasted sweet potatoes, honeynut squash, butternut squash, + broccoli, spiced roasted chickpeas, pan fried tofu and the most delish tahini dressing. Recipe details 👇🏻 - 1. Preheat oven to 400 F. 2. Toss sweet potato and honeynut squash cubes in olive oil, salt and pepper. Place on a baking sheet and roast for about 40-45 minutes. 3. Toss chopped broccoli and acorn squash in olive oil, s&p. Add to oven with the other veggies when the timer has about 25 minutes left. 4. Drain and rinse chickpeas. Pat try. Toss in olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Add to oven when the timer has 15 minutes left. 5. While everything is in the oven, chop tofu into cubes (make sure to get water out first!). Add olive oil to a hot pan and pan fry tofu, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides. Dressing is @minimalistbaker’s recipe- it’s a mix of tahini, lemon, garlic, honey and water 🍋
