That said, I’m grateful for dental insurance and access to healthcare, even if it’s painful AF. - - We had a big talk with kiddo tonight about everything that is going on. He decided that he wants to make digital copies of his artwork to sell online, with 100% of the proceeds going to either BLM or NAACP (tbd). ‘Small disciplines repeated with consistency, every day, lead to great achievements’. ♡︎ . . Someone asked what my current fitness goals are at the moment and truly I have the same response now that I have for the past year or so. 😅 . “To be better than I was yesterday.” . I am genuinely not interested in competing with anyone else anymore (which is funny to me for playing sports my whole life😅), but rather I enjoy channeling that competitive energy back in on myself. 😤 . You ever heard the quote “your only competition is the one staring at you in the mirror”? Well that is pretty much my motto when it comes to health and fitness at the moment. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just trying to be better than I was the day before. . Whether that means going for one more rep, adding 5 more pounds, sticking to my macros consistently, drinking plenty of water... whatever it may be... true growth never came from comfort zones. 💪🏼 . And truly I feel that by taking care of every aspect of my health in a consistent manner, both in and outside of the gym (aka both workouts and nutrition/supplements) that I am seeing better results now than I ever have before. . So anyone who has that seemingly ‘crazy’ fitness goal: try taking it day by day. Piece by piece. Practice those consistent, healthy habits and simply focus on being better than you were yesterday. ❤️👍🏼 . Those small actions will lead to big results over time! ✨🙌🏼 . It’s been a heavy week...but on the work side of things, I have accomplished something MAJOR that I started working on in March. With that said, you can choose to be a victim in this life or a survivor, it’s only up to you. When I woke up the morning after surgery, I immediately started working. The doctor came in while I was on my laptop. I could barely sit up because I just went through major abdominal surgery. He still reminds me of this when I see him. He says my determination and mindset is why I adjusted so well to my Ostomy. Work is a huge passion of mine. Even through two major surgeries and just recently finding out I will need 2 more surgeries my passion for my work pulls me through. It keeps my mind in a realistic place so that I can focus on the recovery and the end result. Hi everyone who still follows a dead account. I wanted to take a moment and post pictures of me, fully recovered at 140 lbs along with and explanation on why you haven’t heard from me in 2 years. I am now 140 lbs. 30 lbs more since my last post. If you look at the date of my last post, it was 10/15/18. My little brother passed away from a substance overdose at age 24 on 10/18/18. I have been in a dark place since then and have not found it fit for me to give you advice on food, exercise, and least of all—Positivity. I also had to have an organ removed in surgery due to complications from anorexia. In the time I have been gone from this account, I have experienced remorse, heartbreak, numbness, anger, depression, anxiety, and everything in between. But I didn’t relapse. I went through his belongings, but I didn’t relapse. I pressed the button that burned his body, but I didn’t relapse. I am no longer searching to gain weight, instead, I look for understanding and spiritual growth. I seek healing in ways that food and exercise cannot aid me. However as an adult Fitness came into my life as a way to survive. Up until 2013 I was an adult competitive figure skater and it was what I identified myself with. My life took a big turn the night of February 10, 2013 where a bad fight would finally push me to dig deep and leave a toxic marriage. I got in my little blue car and drove two hours to another city and my sisters family to start a new life. ——- Leaving my skating and whole life as I knew it behind I had a huge need to fill a large void. I was desperate to find something that made sense to me. Which means I needed to find a way to be active. ——- Fitness, running, lifting weights was so foreign to me when I walked into a gym for the first time in my life but it’s what saved me. I still struggled with body image, confidence, eating disorders and shaming myself but each day since challenging my mind and body I found myself, my voice, my purpose and my zeal for life again. I immersed myself in a personal competitive and training world and I restored the person I thought I had once lost. I’ve come a long way in the last 7 years that I vaguely remember that girl from years ago. ——- We all struggle and we are all hard on ourselves; It’s our attitudes that make the difference. ☀️

Today was one of those days where I just didn’t feel motivated. It might have been the three glasses of wine I had last night before dinner. I know we tend to post photos of weight loss results from the perspective of our faces and and our stomachs. This is another perspective of weight loss. Since I’m not the best with words, I’ll explain my thoughts in food...these are peanut butter cookies 🥜🍪 the right half is dark chocolate and the left half is powdered sugar. Both halves are equally as beautiful and when you take a bite, you’ll see that they look exactly the same on the inside ♥️ have a great weekend y’all! To anyone who wants to tell me that my cookies aren’t equally divided...I didn’t melt enough chocolate 😫 so bite me 🤪😂 the recipe is below ⬇️ . . No bake PB cookies: 1/2 cup @woodstockfoods creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup @arrowheadmills coconut flour, and 3 Tbsp @lakanto sugar-free maple syrup. Mix ingredients together. Then roll into balls and flatten with a fork. Freeze for 10 minutes and then dip half a cookie in melted @lilys_sweets no sugar added dark chocolate and the other half in @lakanto sugar substitute powdered sugar. This week's lifts! . 1st video - let's just put it out there that I don't know how to count... Suppose to be a 1x5 RPE 8. So last week we did 175.. To easy so we went up to 195lbs. Yeah let's count them.. Oops 6 haha ➖ 2nd video - easy 4x2 120lb bench ➖ 3rd and 4th video - 2x2 230lb squat. Heavier than I wanted that is for sure but they went up. ➖ 5th video - 🥁...... drumroll please...... 🥁 1x1 150lb bench!! BOOM!!! Completed the lift with a pause! Last time I attempted this was January 2019 and it had no pause and grinded TF out of it! Freaking night and day!!!!! Que the running man! . Deadlifts will be tomorrow... PROGRESS? 3.02 mi/29:06 mins/9:38 pace 😓 This treadmill run did not go as planned. I had a 5-mile progression run on the calendar. But, I felt lightheaded and weird after mile 3. So I sensibly stopped, judging the last 2 miles not a good idea. It is 90F and raining outside. So the humidity in my basement is for real. I hit the miles at 9:48, 9:35, and 9:25 for what it’s worth. Listening to your body’s signals is much more critical than the miles in your training plan. • Another reason I’m not sweating these lost 2 miles is that I’m doing my long run tomorrow, rather than Sunday. Jag gick upp 06.45 för att ta en liten löprunda! Jag tycker det är sååå kul att springa och jag är ju faktiskt orienterare från början 😉. Det blev en ganska kort runda på 3,5km, men kul var det!! Har tänkt att jag ska ta en runda varje fredag, nu när jag har fått upp ögonen för löpning! Werbung wg. Personenmarkierung - 🄱🄴 🅃🄷🄰🄽🄺🄵🅄🄻 🙏 - Vorletztes #homeworkout ✔️ Trotz allem - der ganzen Einschränkungen - bin ich irgendwo dankbar für die vergangenen 3 Monate. Man hat in diesen Wochen Dinge/Gewohnheiten zu schätzen und auch mehr wert zu schätzen gelernt - denke, das geht vielen Menschen ähnlich. Nichts sollte man (mehr) als selbstverständlich empfinden. Im Großen und Ganzen können wir durchaus aus dieser schweren, belastenden Zeit lernen. - Keine Ahnung wie lange ich schon Insta installiert und hauptsächlich sportlichen Feed mit euch teile, aber ich hab besonders in den letzten Wochen gemerkt, dass ich's bis heute nicht bereue, die App installiert und meine Seite/Postings intensiviert zu haben. 🥳 Klar, viel zu viel Zeit eig am Handy verbracht aber es hatte mehr positive Seiten, als negative. Die zahlreichen, diversen Challenges, zu denen ich nominiert wurde und von denen ich leider einige (noch) nicht absolviert habe, haben den eintönigen Trainingsalltag bereichert. Aber auch allgemein gesehen - der unglaubliche große Zusammenhalt, auch wenn er nur virtuell stattfinden konnte, war deutlich spürbar. - Ich möchte diese App wirklich nicht missen müssen während dieser Zeit 😊 (einziger, wirklicher Nachteil ist die gefühlt massiv gesteigerte Zunahme an primitiver und auch leider sehr oft peinlicher potenzielle Partnersuche hier auf Insta😳🙆‍♀️🙅‍♀️🤦‍♀️für sowas empfehlen sich wirklich andere Apps! Viel Erfolg dabei 👌👍☘️ musste einfach mal gesagt werden. ) Am Montag geht's endlich wieder ein Stück weit zurück in die Normalität, in dem man endlich das Home-Workout gegen das Studio eintauschen kann - mal wieder richtige Hanteln stemmen 👌 - Abschließend NOCHMALS EIN GROßES DANKE an diverse Challenge-Nominierungen, jedes Gespräch, jedes Like und einfach jeden Kontakt hier. Hätte auch nie gedacht, Insta so intensiv zu nutzen und damit verbunden solche positiven Erfahrungen zu machen 🙏 Muss heute einfach mal sein - danke sagen tut gut und nicht weh!!! - Habt noch einen schönen Abend und einen super Start ins Wochenende. 🙋‍♀️
