It’s coming quick!! Sometimes it feels so far away and other times....right here. I’m super excited to compete in a regional meet!! This will be the first meet I compete as a Master 💪 and this Prep has been going great so far. . . . My goal is to obviously do better than last meet 😉, just as long as I continue to grow and improve, I’m happy!! . . . If you would have told me 5 years ago...even 2 years ago that I was capable of powerlifting and competing, I wouldn’t have believed you. 😂😂. What I’ve discovered is, I can do this and it’s really about you vs you at the end of the day. You are capable if you want to be. You have to put in the work. Some people think it’s easy, but it’s not. It’s a lot of mental working out too, not just physical. This is a primary position we work out of to get weights overhead, and it directly translates to HSPU work AND overhead lifting. Regeneration ist für den Trainingserfolg eine sehr relevante Variable. Man kann nur so viel Progression generieren, wie man auch regenerieren kann, um einen sinnvollen Trainingszyklus auf Dauer aufrecht zu erhalten. Meistens fällt bei mir 1 Wochentag somit auf einen Restday, bei dem ich aber ebenfalls versuche die Aktivität in irgendeiner Form relativ hoch zu halten, sei es durch einen Spaziergang oder was auch immer. Active pigeon. ♥️ ⁣ ⁣ 📸 Courtesy of @robinmartinyoga⁣ ⁣ The pose is one-legged King pigeon pose or eka pada rajakapotasana. ♥️ This deep hip opener is associated with the liver, kidney, spleen, stomach and gall bladder meridians. ⁣ ⁣ Here are some tips to move into the pose. Begin (one leg at a time, I'll assume right foot forward for this description) either on all fours or downward facing dog. Bring your right knee forward between your hands. Gently lean the knee to the right, checking for sensitivity. Begin to ease your back leg back behind you while keeping your hips square (even). The back foot is pressing down, coming out straight behind you. If the front knee is feeling good, slowly start to ease your flexed right foot forward, drawing your shin parallel to the top of your mat. If the knee is sensitive, keep the right heel by the left hip. (I have the left leg in front in my photos, but you can see my shin isn’t parallel and my heel is hugging in towards my pelvis. This is a far more comfortable position for me in king pigeon) ⁣ ⁣ If your hips are tight, use a bolster or a blanket underneath the right thigh/hip area to elevate the hip and ease the intensity of the stretch. Plant both hands under your shoulders, coming into a proud pigeon, sit tall, lengthen the spine. Don’t compare yourself and your life to others; that’s the quickest way to damage yourself. Everyone has their own way of getting where they are and where they want to be. You have no idea what someone else had to go through, how hard they have worked or what sacrifices had to be made in order to be where they are. Yes, there are people who are more fortunate than others and have a different type of support from parents or guardians, and they were able to get where they wanted to be with help, but that doesn’t take away from YOU and what you are capable of without that type of support. Always be happy and thankful for where you are now. Set goals, work for them and keep going. As I always say, the time will pass anyways, so do it even if it takes more time than you were anticipating. You will get there. Muitos "especialistas" são CONTRA essas variações e outros a FAVOR, mas afinal o que mostram os estudos!? Excelente estudo randomizado de McCaw (1999), analisou 6 músculos em 3 afastamento dos pés. Os resultados mostraram que a MAIOR ativação dos GLÚTEOS ocorreu no MAIOR afastamento (foto). Paoli (2009), realizou estudo semelhante medindo a ativação de 8 músculos, também com 3 afastamentos dos pés. Novamente, foi no MAIOR afastamento que ocorreu a MAIOR ativação dos GLÚTEOS, os outros 7 músculos NÃO apresentaram diferença significativa. Recente estudo de Oshikawa (2018) mostrou a mesma coisa, foi com os pés afastados onde tivemos a MAIOR ativação do GLÚTEO. ‼️SELVSIKKERHED I TRÆNINGSCENTRET ‼️ At opbygge selvtillid i et trænings center kan være svært. Det ved jeg fordi jeg selv har været der, dengang jeg startede. Jeg vidste ikke hvordan jeg skulle bruge maskinerne, udføre øvelser korrekt og endte derfor oftes bare på en cardio maskine. Sandheden er at uanset hvad, så vil nye ting føles ukomfortable og det er der man skal ud af komfortzonen. Lige pludselig bliver det en vane og lige så trygt som alle andre hverdags ting du gør - Så her er 5 ting som måske kan hjælpe jer piger der er lidt utrygge med at tage i fitness centret - • De fleste der er i et træning center er så fokuseret på dem selv og deres egen træning, at de slet ikke ligger mærke til dig alligevel - • Du er i træningscentret fordi du vil forbedre dig, om du er nybegynder eller mere erfaren. Hvis du lige er begyndt og ikke har styr på teknikken endnu og føler dig pinlig over det - BLIV VED! De mennesker der er omkring dig hvis de overhovedet ligger mærke til dig, vil kun ligge mærke til at du prøver og vil ligge mærke til din fremgang og blive inspireret af det - • lad vær med at sammenligne dig med nogen andre i centret. Hvis du ser nogen der giver den max gas og har fuldstændig styr på hvad de gør, så husk at de også har været nye i gamet engang. Pigen der står og squatter 80kg startede op kun med selve stangen - • Lig en plan! Lad vær med at tage ned og træn uden at have forberedt dig og lagt en plan for hvad du skal træne. Hvis du ikke selv har viden nok til det, kan du få en personlig træner/online coach som jeg selv til at lave et struktureret program til dig, som har fokus på præcis de ting du ønsker at forbedre. Mine piger møder op, får træningen klaret og tager der fra som de boss ladies de er uanset niveau - • Tag en trænings buddy med! Det er så meget mindre skræmmende når man har en med, som man kan støtte sig til og kender dig godt Og sidst men ikke mindst. Du fortjener lige så meget som alle andre at stå iblandt vægtene!
