Happy Monday peeps ✨✨ . . The past week has been a whirlwind for me. Im not sure if it was raging hormones (anybody else BC give them crazy ass mood swings??), depression sneaking back in my life, or a little bit of both but I was a ball of emotions for like a week straight. And I hate when I get like that, especially when everything in my life seems to be going swimmingly and then I’m like ok....but tears 🥺😢 . But it’s ok to feel the feels and ride the waves of life cuz there’s bound to be ebbs and flows and, while more manageable, I still get triggered and my mental health needs daily tending to. It’s all apart of the lifelong process of healing and it can get tiresome. But I think your children and their children will thank you for it. Suicide - a permanent fix to a temporary problem. If you have a plan you are already too far. Get up, go outside, go find someone, anyone, say Hi. Have a chat with them, talk about anything, the blue sky, the weather. Go have a coffee, sit in the café and just watch the world, smile at a little kid, pat a little puppy. Just get out of the house and do something. It won't be easy but you can get through this. No, you can't "just get over it", you won't "be alright mate" but you CAN get through it. It may seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but once you make the decision to not go through with your plan, then you will see the small light at the end of the tunnel. Once you start to get through it, you will slowly feel better. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . How do I know? I know because I can see the small light at the end of my own tunnel. I take it one day at a time. I no longer have communication with the people who were using me to their own advantage. Distance yourself from the group of people who are bad for your mental health. True friends like you for who you are, not what they can get or gain from being your friend. Also family; just because they are family doesn't mean you have to like them or have them in your life. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . If you’re in a position like this now, I assure you your way more capable than your uncertainty is making you feel. Day 2 - well today I’m feeling pretty good. Probably spent too much time on Instagram before I got out of bed and went for my walk. And then ended up rushing getting out of the house. And then my car wouldn’t start because I REALLY need a new battery and not using the car for 3 days means it’s just not happy with me. My walk was nice but it was hella windy. And I had some good laughs this morning with @caitlin.roscherr so that was great. And now I’m having a study break because I’ve actually been productive and finished my essay (draft). So all in all it’s been a good one so far. I have work later and then back to the library to study. But ya know, she’ll be right. What do you do when you get to the point in your head where order is actually chaos? Odd question right? After all how can order be chaotic. It is neat and tidy and pristine. Beautiful even. Oh no. Not all the time. Especially not when that order is a way your PTSD and EDNOS are trying to let you know you need to start listening to the screaming inside. I guess I am screaming a little. In may I was finally feeling the sun and kicking ass with life. Things were going amazing. All autoimmune things in check, I was able to handle the domestic mental warfare between the parental units, and sleep was coming so easy. Then a trigger got set off. I need to be constantantly moving. I need to feel something because I am creeping on that tiny ledge where I am afraid of not feeling anything except all the weight. It's not body weight but the only way I know how to try and get out from under that weight is to shed body weight. When we leave one addiction we trade it for another. Well I'll never use again but ED is an addiction that clings to the back with razor sharp claws and they dig deep into the heart making you work harder to make yourself better. Now I'm sitting here with my dinner lined up, my sketch books lined up and a schedule of when I can smoke depending on how many drawings I get done. Getting better is about admitting when you're having hard days. When you've just tripped and bloodied your knees. Well. I'm there. I accept that I need help and I am okay with that. happy mental health monday:) ✨ ! - i am so sorry i know i missed a couple of monday’s :/ BUT i am back 🥰 and here to stay! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨Today’s topic is over intrusive thoughts & how to cope with them. “what are “intrusive thoughts” you may ask?” intrusive thoughts are basically unwanted thoughts or images that enter our brain out of nowhere. most of the time, intrusive thoughts come without our say so and come without our welcome. sometimes, if we don’t watch out these thoughts can cause gobs of anxiety and distress. intrusive thoughts includes, disturbing images of different things and basically things you would never do and against the morals you have for yourself! :/ ETC. intrusive thoughts... if we pay TOO much attention to them can stick in our brains & become monstrous. ——————————————————————— throughout the day, us humans have at least 60,000 thoughts sooo it is unreasonable to believe that every single one of those thoughts will b particularly positive ( or in our favor )!! intrusive thoughts should easily b able to pass in your mind like a cloud ☁️ passing through the beautiful blue sky 🦋💙. just simply notice them and keep on moving in your day! intrusive thoughts should pass without any disturbances or issues. if we show any emotion to these disturbing thoughts & let them heavily affect us they will be harder to leave out of our own heads.basically, welcome every and any thought in your mind and let it pass on by PEACEFULLY! also, welcome any emotion and allow yourself to feel them all!! EMBRACE every emotion and thought. although, some thoughts can be unsettling know that your thoughts DO NOT DEFINE YOU AS A PERSON !!✨ and truly know this in your soul! thoughts are just thoughts 🙌🏽🧡 I LOVE YOU GUYS❤️ & stay mindful!! ——————have a great rest of your week😽! ——————remember you can DM me ANY mental health topics you want me to cover !!

Okay so our schedules got released and I love my schedule but I realized I don't have math,, and math is supposed to be three tris this year. But since I failed math last year I'm going to have to retake sophomore math and I'm just like trying to wrap my brain on how this is going to work... like there is such a high chance that I'm not going to be able to graduate on time and I feel like such an idiot... Like my credits are so off track. Like for example, we're supposed to have three years of PE and I'm only just now taking my first year... Like I've legit only had two electives (fun classes) since freshman year.. And that is so messed up. Like my schedule is so messed up,, I need to retake chemistry too, but then I also have to take biology or something for junior science credits... but Like we only have three trimesters... So like I am so confused and stressed and I haven't even started this year yet. I don't really understand how I even got so behind. I am so overwhelmed. Ughhhh I hate school.

How do you deal with all the stress? Journaling has really helped me. 📖 I keep it near me at all times and jot down whatever I’m thinking, good or bad. ✏️ Journaling has always seemed like this daunting task to me. But I’ve found it really easy to just do it in bullet points. I don’t have to worry about grammar, paragraphs or complete sentences. It’s just a place to brain dump and get it out. 🐣I’m also kinda looking forward to reading it once all of this is over.

I’ve been talking about self love a bit lately and what it looks and feels like to practice it, and especially thinking about it from a trauma informed perspective. A lot of us who have experienced trauma, especially those which result in #cptsd or complex trauma, develop unhealthy coping mechanisms and beliefs that we internalize. These coping mechanisms, beliefs, and behaviors all serve a purpose; they are effective in the sense that they ‘work’ and meet our needs. It’s that they work negatively and maladaptively that causes us to be in despair, dysfunction, distress and constant crisis. ✨ But then we come to a place of change and healing through hard work where we adopt new, healthier ways of being, bit by bit. We forge the path to self acceptance and love and begin to have healthier and happier interpersonal connections. Our ability to be openly loving of ourselves allows for the reception of love from others. Sometimes, in my experience, though, there may be a piece missing: accountability. An obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions. A purposeful act of constant introspection and reflection. ✨ Hurt people hurt people. We know this platitude to be true and not hollow. Part of the healing process includes checking the ways you yourself may have caused harm to others. How you yourself may have been the villain in someone’s story, and that redemption comes in acknowledging all sides of you exist and that growth is constant and healing is not always linear. Trauma does not only effect its survivor. There are many ways it continues to ripple out until it’s broken like the curse that it often is. ✨ So love yourself, yes. BIG NEWS! This is an absolute dream come true 🧡💙 My gym @experiencemomentumfitness will be hosting a mental health awareness event, “MOVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH” on Saturday Sept 28th from 9am-12pm! I’m going to briefly share my story about my battle with Bipolar 1 Disorder and PTSD. @experiencemomentumfitness has played a HUGE roll in helping me regain my health and confidence after a rough couple of years. There are no words to properly express my gratitude for Experience Momentum’s acceptance, support and positivity. I’m extremely impressed with EM’s willingness to raise awareness on such a difficult and stigmatized subject. It speaks volumes about the mission and values that the company embodies. This event is open to ANYONE and everyone! All fitness levels are welcome. Even if you don’t want to participate in the work out portion of the event, there will also be a bbq afterwards. There will be resources available for those seeking help and support for their mental heath. I can’t wait for Sept 28th!! I hope to see you there 🧡💙

Just because I’m on a little vacation thought I’d hit the gym a couple of times. But the moral of the story is this is to get away for a bit. Dealing with stress, worrying about all the things that would make me angry, frustrated, having anxiety, panic attacks and all the other things. Going to the gym for a little bit helps focus my mind, getting my head straight, feeling good afterwards. There’s just something there and I don’t know what it is but keeping a positive attitude while being here is what it’s about. Always being kind to others no matter the kind of shape their in or just dealing with the struggles their going through. My therapist gave me this @dammitdolls a few weeks ago. I don’t let my anger out healthily. Since I’m trying to be healthier, I’ve not really let my anger out at all. This has resulted in rage dreams all night every night. I’m not near my doll right now, so I’ll write instead. I feel behind in school. Dammit. I feel lazy for not having a job right now even though I’m too sick to hold one. Dammit. My therapist will leave me if I don’t go to treatment but I don’t want to gain weight or get sober or go inpatient. Dammit. I got sexually abused many times by different men. Dammit. I love in an abusive household and can’t afford to move out. Dammit. My mom stole my money and my phone while I was in the hospital. Dammit. I know what I’m doing is bad for me, but I feel like I can’t stop. Dammit. I want a better relationship with my parents. Dammit. I wish I didn’t lose my friends. Dammit. I wish I wanted to get better. Dammit. I wish people understood. Dammit. I hate my body and myself. Dammit. I feel like I don’t contribute to society. Dammit. I’m a burden. Dammit. I hate embarrassing my family. Dammit. I hate being a downer. Dammit. I wish I wasn’t too socially anxious to take classes on campus. Dammit. I want to be a different person. Dammit. I want to have sex without fear and pain. Dammit. I wish the world cared about women. Dammit. I wish the world cared about climate change. Dammit. I wish my cat was still hear. Dammit.
