Buon pranzo a tutti. Giornata nuvolosa, ma almeno la pioggia oggi ci risparmia dandoci un clemente giorno di tregua. To the mama who was in the position I was 3 years ago: The mama who was overwhelmed. The mama who is just trying to put one foot in front of the other. The mama who never put herself first. She put her family, friends, and job before her well-being. The mama who neglected her health and spent many a nights in the drive-thru window instead of making a home cooked meal because #exhaustion The mama who didn’t know where to start. The mama who felt like her goal seemed so out of reach, but wanted that goal with a fire inside her soul. To you mama, I just want to let you know that you are strong. Stronger than you may feel right now! Stronger than you ever thought possible. You have it in you, you just have to reach deep down and grab that fire. You MUST allow yourself to become a priority. You MUST invest in yourself. Sometimes this means setting boundaries. Sometimes that means making more sacrifices like getting up earlier to get your workouts in before the kiddos wake up. My best advice to those starting out and are looking at losing a significant amount of weight, set small, realistic goals. Celebrate every victory! Give yourself grace, you will have bad days and screw ups. Don’t give up. Stay consistent. Always remember why you are doing what you are doing. Your WHY. Post workout. We all know the importance in getting energy in after a workout. After my workout I usually mix a shake with Core Carbs (powder carbs), Core protein Pro (protein powder), 1 banana, ice and water. It works very well for me and I feel like it improves my recovery. I usually hit a minimum of 100g of carbs after training and around 30g of protein. Everyone has certain foods they struggle to control themselves around... ⠀ For me, it’s peanut butter 🤤 ⠀ In fact, if it ever becomes socially acceptable to eat peanut butter for every meal, I'll be buying out every single container I can get my nutty hands on 😋 ⠀ But sadly, that day hasn't come ( yet🤞) ⠀ And honestly? That's a good thing. ⠀ You see, even though most people would consider peanut butter a "healthy" food, it's still SUPER-DUPER calorie dense. ⠀ Now let's toss PB’s best friends — bread and jelly — into the mix... ⠀ Most people would see the PB & J sammy on the left with its natural peanut butter, jelly, and whole wheat bread and assume it's a perfectly healthy weight loss meal. ⠀ But without measuring portions, or at least paying attention to the calorie content of the ingredients, they'd end up taking in the same number of calories you'd find in a typical fast food cheeseburger! ⠀ Now, there will undoubtedly be folks in the comments who say 3 TBSP’s of peanut butter is "unrealistic." ⠀ Well, those people aren't human 👽 and don't eat peanut butter like 99% of us... ⠀ Or they’re just in denial about how easy it is to overestimate peanut butter portion sizes 😉 ⠀ So what's the fix? ⠀ It simply comes down to portion control ✅ ⠀ PB & J's are friggin' orgasmic mouth treats, and I don’t see any reason to avoid them entirely. ⠀ ⠀ But if you're trying to lose weight, you wanna make sure you're accurate with your portion sizes 💯 ⠀ I'd also recommend avoiding those "Ultra-Mega-Multigrain" bread. ⠀ Sure they're "whole wheat," but they often come packed with a TON of calories. ⠀ I like Sara Lee's 45-calorie bread. You NEED to eat protein. It can be hard though, I agree on that. When people come to me for nutrition they usually drop their jaw when they see how much protein they need to eat. Protein changes depending on your goals, gain lean tissue, you'll need more, fatloss, you'll need more, and a little less if you're just looking to get in shape and don't truly have a composition goal in mind. The biggest thing I hear when it comes to protein is, 'I won't be able to eat all of that I dont have a big appetite'. Well I have some news for you guys, it doesnt have to all come from 1 source, and that source being generally animal protein... Here's a few sources to get your protein in: - ¤ Quinoa. ¤Beans. ¤Lentils. ¤Nuts. ¤Tofu. ¤Chickpeas. ¤Whey protein. ¤Cheese. - Use these items to compliment your diet, if you generally eat rice, switch to quinoa and you've just added a protein rich side dish to your plan that isn't as filling as meat protein and you'll see your intake increase substantially. Protein is important in your diet if you're looking to gain muscle or lose fat and filling those macros is more simple then you think. Adding alternatives can make you top off your protein without the feeling of eating the equivalent half a chicken in one sitting. Ingredients Keto Cloud Bread 3 large eggs 3 ounces cream cheese 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon garlic powder The Filling 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 3 teaspoons sriracha 6 slices bacon 9 ounces chicken breast 6 slices pepper jack cheese 6 whole grape tomatoes 6 ounces avocado Directions Preheat the oven to 300°F. Begin separating 3 eggs into to two clean, dry bowls. Add cream of tartar and salt to the whites. Using an electric mixer, whip the egg whites until you see soft, foamy peaks form. In the other bowl, combine 3 oz. of cubed cream cheese with the egg yolks and beat until a pale yellow color. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolks, half at a time. On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, spoon about ¼ cup of the keto cloud bread batter into six rounds. This recipe makes 6 large keto cloud bread. Using a spatula, press gently on tops of the keto cloud bread to form squares. Then sprinkle the tops with garlic powder and bake for about 25 minutes. While the keto cloud bread are baking, cook the chicken and bacon with some salt and pepper. To arrange the sandwiches, begin by combining mayo and sriracha and spread 1/3 onto the underside of three keto cloud breads. Add your chicken on top of the spicy mayo. Each half comes out to be 405.55 Calories, 31.02g Fats, 4.31g Net Carbs, and 24.8g Protein.

It's FALL YA'LL!!! ••••• I don't mean to be the killer of all things summer. Trust me, I LOVE me some sunshine, pool time, and beach trips. It's not that I hate summer. I am a HUGE outdoors person who can't get enough of hiking, paddleboarding, gardening, and basically any and all outdoor recreational sports. ••••• So why am I so pumped for fall? It's not the cold weather, the impending snow, or the dark, dreary days. Yup, definitely not that! ••••• However, there is something about having less options, a simpler, more strucutred routine, and fewer trips and social events to attend that is good for my psyche. I thrive on routine, habits, and structure. Most of us do. It is what makes us successful at many of the things we are good at. And this includes nutrition. ••••• This is the real reason I am so thrilled that fall is here. This is the time of year where I have more time and mental space to focus on myself rather than being pulled in a million different directions by friends, family, social functions, and all the other great life events that create lasting memories. Fall is when I focus on reading and learning, training harder, and just executing my daily self-care routines that inch me closer and closer to becoming a better person. ••••• Spring may be the outdoor's season of renewal and growth but fall is my season for continued renewal and growth as a person. ••••• #growth #selfcare #betterthanyesterday #selfimprovement #learning

Nothing feels better than finally be back to my daily workouts and healthy eating 🤗 Follow us (@healthyfoodadvice ) for the best daily Health and Calorie Intake Guides 🏃🏻 FOOD DIARY from today 🥑🌮🥗😍 I love cooking and creating new meals but I have also a list of standard foods and dishes, I keep on repeating because: 👉🏼 1) they taste amazing and 👉🏼 2) I know the calories amount in each of them and I can easily estimate if they fit my meal plan on a particular day or not 🤗 If you only start with your healthy eating, I would suggest sticking to easy meals that you can prepare quickly. All of my meals from today were cooked within 10-15 minutes, so you don’t have to waste your weekend standing in the kitchen 👍🏼😁 On Saturday or Sunday, I usually have my treat meal and today I had again my favorite sushi - salmon cream cheese avocado rolls and those are so delicious that I can’t wait to have more 🍣🤤 My full day of eating: 1. 🍎 Breakfast 1 - fried eggs with cheese on top (parmesan and cheddar), half of avocado, cucumber, tomato and strawberries. #hfa 2. 🍎 Breakfast 2 - protein oatmeal bowl with chia seeds, topped with strawberries, banana, raspberries and peanut butter. 3. 🍎 Snack 1 - one banana muffin with some pineapple, watermelon and cantaloupe. 4. 🍎 Lunch - my all time favorite sushi - salmon cream cheese avocado rolls. 5. 🍎 Snack 2 - high protein cottage cheese with a few strawberries and cashews. 6. 🍎 Dinner - giant whole wheat tortilla with white cheese, spinach, avocado, grilled turkey breast, cherry tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Chocolate chia pudding🍫✨ By @feelgoodfoodie … . 📝 INGREDIENTS * 1/4 cup cocoa powder * 2 tablespoons maple syrup * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 cup coconut milk * 1/3 cup chia seeds . 👨‍🍳 Preparation 1. Sift cocoa powder into a medium deep mixing bowl. Add maple syrup, vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Whisk to combine until smooth. Add the coconut milk on top and whisk to combine until smooth. 2. Pour the chia seeds on top of the mixture and either blend with a whisk or immersion blender. The immersion blender will create a smoother texture. 3. Cover and refrigerate until the mixture thickens, and becomes pudding like, at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. 4. Enjoy with fresh coconut whip cream and berries, if desired. . Overnight Oats 🥣 🌙 …⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📝 INGREDIENTS * ½ cup rolled old fashioned oats * ½ cup milk of choice * ¼ cup non-fat Greek yogurt * 1 tablespoon chia seeds * 1 tablespoon sweetener of choice (honey or maple syrup) * 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract * Toppings of choice . 👩‍🍳Preparation 1. Place all ingredients into a large glass container and mix until combined. 2. Cover the glass container with a lid. Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight. Toppings can be added the night before or immediately before serving. 3. Uncover and enjoy from the glass container the next day.
