60 minute personal best, previous was 2:04.5 so today's target was 2:03.5/500. This works out @ 2k pb +13.9/500. Done with only 1 window open, hottest time of the day, in a t-shirt & with only 800 calories so far today (this 60 minutes burnt approximately 950). Spent some time today revisiting my goals and focusing on my purpose. Thinking about what it means to be the best. Personal significance; the responsibility of greater influence; the importance of a larger platform. Although I do use bodybuilding for spiritual and artistic expression and to satisfy the competitive athlete within, the kind of success I’m after honestly has very little to do with personal gain. I’ve always loved bodybuilding, and I’ve always dreamed of doing well, but my purpose is much bigger than me now. As a 100% natural vegan female pro bodybuilder, I recognize that I’m different. I have the potential to set an incredibly important example at a critical time, and make a positive and much needed impact in the world, particularly among women. Claustrophobic plane selfies ✈️ this was actually on my flight home last weekend when I visited family, despite being a week out from a photoshoot I still went out with friends for dinner, ate some delish home cooked meals and even treated myself to some wine, bread and desserts! No need to overthink nutrition and make the process harder than it needs to be. Knock on the front door meant after the first rep I had to start again. Trying out some higher rate reps. Had to keep the stroke extremely light which kept the effort purely aerobic and almost no muscular effort. Picked up some sort of cold/virus from the wife & kids so had to take the weekend off training as my resting heart rate was 75 instead of 48-50, today it's 63 so getting better. This is a slow and steady 35 minutes R26 @ 2k pb +24.5/500. This past winter I would wake up at 5 am every day and walk through the snow across the Mississippi to squat alone. Now that my schedule has changed lifting has become more enjoyable. Being able to meet friends in the warmer weather has brought a new energy to the gym. Regardless of the conditions the work must get done.

Struggling with Shoulders Day Right should has zero pain but still slowing me down. I can probably get 25-50% more reps in if it didn't lock up. I just need to be more consistent with my shoulder stretches, band work, foam rolling, myofacia scraping, and voodoo flossing. Here's to hoping it'll get better one day. Morning situation 💪🏼 flat & shredded! The last phase of this prep to get in photoshoot shape for the Olympia with @hardmagnum has been 6 days on moderately low carbs 70g pre workout 70g post workout followed by 1 high carb day which was 350g last week but today I’ll do 400g! - Bodybuilding is an ongoing experiment and learning experience, and today class is in session on seeing how all of these carbs fill me out 🤓 game on.

Why is natural bodybuilding not as popular as “enhanced” bodybuilding? . . . A very common question I get approached with quite often. And my number one reason that I THINK it’s not as popular is due to the disbelief of incredible natural physiques. . . . I’ll be the first to admit, when I have a pump, 2 gallons of water in my system, and just had a high carb day, I can look like I’m not “natural”. When in reality it’s all credit to 15 years of weight lifting and 8 years of actual solid nutrition and proper programming. Also good supplementation helps as well (Ex. nitric oxides). Majority of high level natural athletes get deemed the “Fake Natty” title by non-believers and passion killers. . . Not saying there’s no Fake Nattys out there, cause there definitely is. All it takes is ONE, to make people question every natural athlete. . . But, regardless of this, we all stay on our path and grind it out, day in and day out. The passion for this fuels us and is louder than the non-believer’s words. Bothers me none, nor does it bother the best naturals in the world. . . Why do you think it’s not as popular or mainstream? Swipe 👉 for blissful squat...Woke up on the right side of the bed this morning and decided to test my luck with squats 🏋️‍♀️ Tested out 565lbs with no belt or wraps then treated myself with an arm workout 😅. The big 6 Hundo will have to wait another day. Back to bodybuilding workouts for me. I’ll start making more frequent updates on my training and diet.
