I know it may be hard for you ladies that aren’t pregnant to connect with my account right now, especially the more large and in charge I get 😉🤰🏼 but let these videos of me GRINDING HARD be your little reminder to also keep pushing yourself 👊🏻!!! . Just 8 weeks ago I was the pregnant lady returning to the gym from months of bed rest 🤕 BARELY well enough to hold onto a chair and partially squat my own body weight 😰. I kid you not! I had to start from the very bottom while on a lot of medication and slowly rebuild my strength. Each week I would pick up heavier and heavier dumbbells and squat them. Now, here I am, 20 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼 pushing 85-90lb Goblet Squats for reps like I did when I was in my best shape 💪🏼 . 1️⃣85lb Goblet Squats Using the glutes so hard my cellulite is poppin 😅. I also am bracing my core through all reps 2️⃣90lb Goblet Squats This was work!! Tipping a little bit more forward because my belly has caused my center of gravity to shift. My form is still acceptable while pregnant 🤘🏼 3️⃣ Bench SL DB DL As you lower down, you should feel a nice deep stretch in your hamstrings 4️⃣ Rear Foot Elevated Lunges Holding the DBs with straight arms 5️⃣ Rear Foot Elevated Lunges Holding the DBs up on my shoulders . . . I know you were wondering, “Did Abbey get her workout in today?” 🤣🤣Well yes, yes I did. It was fun!! I love these different style workouts using different props like resistance bands and exercise ball. Changing it up can be a whole new experience. One thing I’m missing though is I don’t feel I sweat as much which can be good and bad. Hasn’t been a week in 2020 I’ve worked less than 40 hours a week. I get it; we’re all tired, we’re all busy, and we will all start our fitness goal next month. But why not just GET IT DONE NOW! A habit starts after the 30th day. So push thru and make it a need, a want for a healthier lifestyle. I hear convos all day about this diet and that diet. All I can say about today's workout is " at least I showed up". This week I feel so freaking off my game. Idk what's up, I'm exhausted and completely unmotivated. My knee has been really bugging me again. The pain isn't much but the fact that I can't workout harder and heavier. I've cut my cardio back so much😭 I used to do like 30-45 minutes on the eliptical but now my knee starts to get irritated about 8 minutes & I have to be easy. I'm hoping I just pushed myself to hard on Monday & this weekend of rest will make it all better🤞🏻🤞🏻 On Tuesdays I've been trying to stay at the gym long enough to burn 1k calories. Mostly because I love the feeling of pushing myself after that first hour. It's like after an hour my body goes into straight bliss. It's amazing. Anyways I'm just happy I went. Wrapped up a successful PR week with a squat PR at 355lbs. The squat is my worst lift but it’s improving. After this training block I have added 20 lbs. to my deadlift, 25 lbs. to my bench and 15 lbs. to my squat and I know there’s more in the tank. My new gym total is 1,135 lbs. @ 163 body weight. Tonight’s session consisted of: 1x1 @ 355 3x3 @ 315 Thanks @zachatttttac for the spot and guidance on my jumps leading to my top set.

The missing piece which led me to success, growth, abundance & self love - ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I made excuses. Day after day. About how I wasn’t good enough. How I didn’t “have the resources” to get me to my next goal & well, that was all bs. The real reason I wasn’t moving forward in life was simply because... I didn’t trust myself.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This kept me stuck in fear, it kept me unhappy, unfulfilled. It worked against me. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ How long have you been neglecting your health? How long have you been feeling sorry for yourself?⁣⁣ How long have you been throwing in the towel?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ A few weeks? A month? Oh shoot, it’s been 3 months? Maybe 6? A year? ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Listen carefully, I know how freaking scary it feels to take that leap of faith into bettering yourself. ⁣⁣But how much longer do you want to feel this way, look this way, show up this way?⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ You will never change your circumstance if you never put your foot down & stand up for you. It wont happen. And until you start to 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 your inner self, you wont do it.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Start with these steps on how to gain trust with your inner being before inviting in change and growth: ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 1️⃣ Get curious - ask yourself what it is that you’re really scared of. Is it fear of failure? Rejection? Shame? Dig deep to find out what is holding you back.⁣⁣⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Embrace vulnerability - share your emotions with others. Hiding behind your emotions is self destruction; you will never build trust with yourself if you do not start a journey of openly sharing how you feel. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 3️⃣ Learn to say no - stop being the party host. Start listening to your needs & make space, daily, for connecting to your thoughts. It is okay to say no. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 4️⃣ Chose to forgive - If you mess up, learn from it, move forward. Don’t beat yourself. We all make mistakes. Keep your focus strong and keep plowing through the messes. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 5️⃣ Know your values & priorities - your instincts are powerful. In order to trust your judgment, act in line with your values.. not what other people expect from you. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Most importantly, put yourself out there. Take risks. Start trusting yourself today, not tomorrow. see where it takes you. ⁣ ⁣ No risks, no magic🌿🌞🌈

Honesty hour—first day back in way too long. The same old story of finding a groove, incorporating something new into my life, then letting it affect me to where I fall out of my flow, requiring me to find another one & start over. I’m so tired of that “same old story,” because I know I can do better. . . So here’s to 2020—a year in which we break the cycle of starting, then stopping, then restarting, only to stop again. Then, once more, starting back up... again. Breaking that cycle happens when we decide to finally make a commitment to ourselves—a commitment to finally finish something all the way through in order to see the results we want. So let’s go 🔥
