Por eso es importante tener en cuenta que la columna vertebral es todo en nuestro cuerpo sin ella como nos sostendriamos,se más cociente e inteligente cuando entrenas con cargas,cuando manejas malas Posturas, cuando te sientas y te acuestas mal, cuando pones cargas elevadas en tu espalda,cuando te haga chas a recoger algo, etc... Cuida tu columna. 👉 La columna vertebral o espina dorsal comienza en el coxis y termina en el cráneo, formando una sola unidad, un solo órgano vertical. Esto implica que cuando sentimos alguna molestia, dolor o problema en alguna parte de la columna, es obligatorio revisar todo el conjunto en general. 👉Funciones de la columna vertebral Es el sostén principal de cuerpo humano y del cráneo, ayuda a sujetar el peso total del mismo y a proteger la médula espinal. Los huesos que componen la columna son las vértebras que convierten a la espina dorsal en un conjunto articulado. Get excited for these healthy, delicious SALTED DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY CUPS. This recipe is #vegan, gluten, dairy, soy, refined-sugar free and decadent AF. 🍫 This delicious recipe is by my good friend Tyler aka @functional.foods. (Check out his recipe & educational page). Full instructions below: 🍫 To make the salted dark chocolate peanut butter & jelly cups, you will need: • 1 cup @navitasorganics cacao powder • ½ cup organic virgin coconut oil, melted • ¼ cup 100% pure maple syrup • 1/2 cup creamy organic peanut butter (can also do almond or sunflower butter) • 1/3 cup raspberry chia jam • @redmondrealsalt unrefined sea salt • Large or small baking cups (for muffins/cupcakes) 🍫 Combine cacao powder, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup in a medium mixing bowl and stir until consistency is smooth. 🍫 Line a muffin pan with parchment baking cups and evenly divide chocolate mixture into the base of each baking cup. 🍫 Note: Make sure the mixture is warm/hot when pouring into baking cups since cooled chocolate mixture will be thick and hard to pour. 🍫 Next, add peanut butter to a small bowl and mix with ~2 tbsp almond flour to thicken it up (should have consistency of watered down play-doh). It also helps to refrigerate the peanut butter before hand so it’s not as runny and holds shape (in this case, add half amount of almond flour). Add peanut butter on top of bottom chocolate layer. 🍫 Next, add a dollop of raspberry jam atop the peanut butter and spread evenly. Fill the rest of the cups with remaining melted chocolate (may need to reheat so pours over easily). Top with a sprinkle of sea salt. Freeze for 2 hours and then store in the refrigerator. Healthy eating misconceptions! 🥗✨ *Swipe for two more* . I wanted to clear up some of the misconceptions around switching to a more nutritious diet. While healthy eating looks different for everyone, I can safely say incorporating more whole foods in our diet will benefit almost anyone. Now, I do find when I’m encouraging people to upgrade their food, these misconceptions can block them from making the switch. Let’s breakdown each misconception below: . Lie “You have to eat the same foods at almost every meal.” ▶️ Truth “You can eat a wide variety of healthy foods.” In fact, switching up your food on a daily or weekly basis can ensure you’re getting a variety of nutrients & minerals. Eating seasonally, trying new exotic fruits and veggies and switching up your protein sources are just some of the ways to keep your diet exciting! . Lie “I have to cut out all complex carbs.” ▶️ Truth “Find the right amount of carbs for you and your activity level.” While a lot of people can benefit for going low carb for a period of time, going too low carb for too long can also be detrimental to your hormones and energy levels. As an active person, I find I feel my best when I make sure I’m getting at least one serving of fruit post workout and I’m incorporating some whole food carbs into meals like potatoes or rice. . Lie “No fun foods allowed.” ▶️ “A healthy balance looks different for everyone.” I know I love incorporating planned treats into my healthy lifestyle! Now, how many treats you incorporate into your diet depends on your needs, wants and goals. I’m more of an 90% healthy foods, 10% fun foods kind of girl but many people flourish on more of an 80%/20% split so find what balance works for you! . Hope you found this helpful. Don’t fear fats! Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle gain or just maintenance, dietary fats are an important part of a balanced healthy diet. In fact, not having enough fat in your diet can manifest in symptoms like extreme mental fatigue, dry skin, excessive hunger, loss of menstrual cycle, and more. . While some people might fear fats because they think that ingesting fat will “make them fat,” fats are not the enemy and that’s just not the case. While fats are energy dense, (9 calories per gram compared to carbs/proteins which are 4 calories per gram), they’re also very satiating so a adequate portion of fat can leave you feeling fuller. In addition, your body uses stored fat as energy when we go periods of time without food. . 🧠 Did you know your brain needs fat?Brain matter is compromised of about 60% fat (when drained of water). Monunsaturated fats like olive oil, avocados, almonds, and eggs can also increase production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays an important role in learning and memory. . 🌡  Fats protect and insulate your body. The layer of fat under your skin help regulate internal body temp. Vital organs, like your kidneys, have a layer of fat around them that acts as bubble wrap to protect them. . ✨ When it comes to creating new cells, fats are used in the production of phospholipid cell membranes and hormones. Communication between cells is also dependent upon lipids. . Some of my favorite healthy fats to include in my nutrition plan are eggs, salmon, almonds, other nuts, olives/olive oil, grass-fed meats.
