Try adding DROPSETS into your lifting routine for a simple but spicy change-up! 🌶 A “dropset” is two sets of the same exercise, back to back with no rest; first set is maximally heavy (try 5x reps) and second set is moderately heavy (try dropping weight 40% and hit 10x reps). I’d recommend doing the dropset off the top of your heaviest weight - no need to do them after every warmup set. 🤩 Not only do dropsets make any ordinary lift more difficult and interesting, but they fit many different goals: strength, building muscle, cutting body fat, and also endurance-lifting programming. They’ll work on any lift - add them in today and WORK IT 💪🏻

Do you hold yourself accountable to achieving your health, fitness, and lifestyle goals? • For many people, the biggest barrier to success isn’t knowledge, it’s consistency. And consistency can be helped tremendously by accountability. Building accountability into your daily, weekly, or monthly habits can be a powerful motivator to increase your drive, determination, and persistence. I’ve always used social media as a means to keep me accountable for my fitness goals. Whether it’s prepping for a show or trying to get stronger and bigger, I’ve always shared with you guys as much as possible the actions that I’ve taken to reach my goals and my continuous progress. By sharing my journey with a large group of people, this helps me stay focused, pushes me to work harder, and creates a sense of urgency to keep fighting no matter what. I’m not saying everyone needs to share their goals on social media as this is a more public approach which many people may not feel comfortable with. There are many ways you can hold yourself accountable on a more personal level. This could include things like creating a checklist for yourself, having an accountability friend who you check-in with every so often and share your goal-related behaviours with, telling your family and close friends what your goals are, or seeking professional guidance from a trainer or coach who will hold you accountable. By doing these things, you build greater self-awareness, sources of support, and the willingness to follow through with your intentions even after experiencing setbacks. More importantly, you avoid the trap of getting complacent and losing focus. Bounce the weight off your chest, makes the lift easier by using momentum to skip the bottom portion of the movement. . Want to improve your bench? Come to a dead stop and press without momentum. Mix that with plenty of shoulder and stability building presses and you're all good. Dips also help. . My bench has never been the best but using pause reps has allowed me to stay consistent and feel more stable in all my pressing! I only ever use touch and go on final fatigue sets when I'm not on a fixed program. . Moral: Stop bouncing the weight to look stronger than you are. I threw in a bouncy set for reference and got more reps easily 😂

Load the bar with 60% of your 1RM. Set a timer for 12 minutes. After each rep, take your hands off of the bar, reset, pull again. I hit 315X40 back in 2017. Hi 👋🏻 Hello 😊 Little bulk update for you guys💪🏻 I’m just about 2 months into my bulk and it’s going pretty good! I have struggled a bit with how draststic the change was in my workout and I had to adjust a few things like my deadlifts. But other then that it’s been pretty good! Feeling WAYYY stronger then before🙌🏻💪🏻 I just love the feeling of being able to lift heavy, oh my goodness there is nothing like it😍 ⠀ ⠀ I have been struggling a bit recently with feeling really bloated a lot of the time from the creatine which kinda sucks. I honestly don’t love how I look right now if I’m being completely honest, but I knew going in this was going to be hard but it’s about the end goal for me. So if I have to suffer for a short term to have benefits in the long term then that’s what makes me push though. Thinking about the end results, thinking about how back I want it.
