Si eres una persona sedentaria que no descansa lo suficiente, pero tu alimentación es saludable, no creas que estás exento de sufrir problemas de salud. ➡️ Si no descansamos apropiadamente unas 7-8 horas al día, nuestros ritmos circadianos se verán alterados y nuestra reparación celular y control de marcadores sanguíneos también estarán locos, además aumenta el estrés, y el antojo repentino por alimentos insanos. ➡️ Si nos alimentamos mal, fumamos, bebemos, etc. comprometemos nuestra salud también. Si comemos mal tendremos una peor composición corporal y las piezas de las que se componen nuestros cuerpos en definitiva serán de peor calidad. La frase "somos lo que comemos" es totalmente cierta. Nuestra alimentación y hábitos de vida generales son clave. ➡️ Si no tenemos un buen entorno social, unas buenas relaciones con familiares y amigos, también seremos más propensos a tendencias depresivas, de estrés, etc. ➡️ A esto añadiría una buena exposición al sol y hábitos saludables en general, como ser activo, tener empatía hacia los demás y tratar de hacer en tu día a día buenas acciones que ayuden a los demás. Countdown to 2020! Next question: Did you set #boundaries? We all need boundaries. Its by these that we are able to treat ourselves with more #respect, and show others how to do the same. How often do you revisit the boundaries you have placed for yourself? Are you respecting them or are you breaking them? what is the #result of that? Lets look at this year and see where we have allowed others to step over the line, or where we have abused our bodies because we did not respect where we needed rest. Take a good look. Where can you #improve? Can you schedule that lunch EVERY day so you know you'll have that energy to finish your day? How about saying "no" to that thing that you dread doing? Set new boundaries for yourself and use these last few days of 2019 to really define them. Respect yourself and let others do the same!!

#motivationmonday going back to those 2 weeks out check ins where I thought I wasn’t lean🤦‍♀️😅 ALL I think about when I’m training is beating this look. As a competitor all you can do is bring your best to the stage- the rest is out of your hands. But as long as you’ve ticked every single box with 100% effort you can be proud no matter what💯 . I miss being lean, but I want to GROW and IMPROVE. I want to be good enough to win- remember as you improve so does everybody else. I also want to get stronger and enjoy social events. I want to be buzzing with energy 24/7. I want to make memories. To succeed in this sport you have to love the whole journey, not just the abs and shreddies💀 yes it’s sometimes hard looking back at leaner times but you know all the shreds will be back before you know it.. and hopefully looking 1000 times better if you really commit to improving 🙏💪🏽 . 🌟Did you know that there was a point in time where I was 30kgs overweight, had no energy what so ever to exercise, wanted to start but didn’t know where or how, so instead binge ate and said I would start tomorrow but would never follow through. I’d try the newest “diets” I even tried not eating at one point! Slim teas, tried that bullshit too. You see it worked for a week. I repeat a week. Then I would be feeling that deprived I would repeat the cycle all over again! For me a turning point was accepting where I was and reaching out to someone that knew what they were talking about. There is so much bullshit out there. There is no quick fixes to sustainable change, but once you fall in love with the journey of improving your overall self the rest starts to follow. You find yourself striving to find ways to make yourself feel better, by eating good whole foods, exercise, meditation the list goes on. It all starts with YOU. Love yourself enough to give your body the love it needs. Make the decision to start, keep that promise to yourself and be open to growth. Some More Clarity Regarding My Personal Views On Alcohol... - Some people have become confused by the fact that I work in the nightlife industry & also champion sobriety as a productivity tool. Let me explain… - I don’t have a universal problem with alcohol or party culture. I actually think that drinking & nights out are a fairly essential part of growing up. Becoming an adult with experiences which allow you to relate to your friends requires you to be exposed to elated nights out, hungover regrets & everything else. - My issue lies with adhering to this weekend warrior lifestyle for the next 20 or 30 years. - There is nothing sadder to me than seeing someone well into adulthood who continues to undo all the progress they make during the week with mind, body & spirit by getting off their face every weekend. - Secondly, I’m not making a value judgement about drinking. I'm not saying that people who drink are bad, & those who go sober are good. It’s simply a case of working out where your values lie. - There are ways of living which are aligned with what’s best for you GIVEN YOUR GOALS RIGHT NOW, and there are ways which are misaligned. - If your goals right now include partying, meeting new people on nights out & socialising when drunk then that aligns with drinking; cool. - My message is targeted at people who want more from life. Their goals are currently not being met. - Currently my goals are focussed on my lifestyle giving my as much time, money, consistency & energy to spend on things I want to achieve or experience. Sobriety is the perfect foundation for this. - I’m not an ideologue about sobriety. I won’t be sober for the rest of my life. In the same way as an athlete periodises their training across the year based on their competition requirements, I am periodising my relationship to alcohol based on my life requirements. - To stop being so diplomatic & zenny about this for a second though... If you feel triggered, personally threatened or attacked by me saying that there’s more to life than boozing at 30 then that’s your problem not mine. A life spent taking 1 step forward & 1 step back every weekend for a decade is a fucking tragedy. #hardtruths
