SABRINA WINS MEMBER OF THE MONTH! After another super busy Saturday class we presented long standing (suffering?) member Sabrina with a well over due ‘Member of the Month’ award. We can’t believe Sabrina hasn’t won this award as yet and had to double check but somehow she has slipped through the net….until today! Sabrina has been a member of Surrey Fitness Camp for years and one the most loyal and dedicated members that we have at Surrey Fitness Camps! She’s a real superstar of SFC. Never gives anything less than 100% at every class, so determined and the hardest worker we have who goes until she drops! Consistently Sabrina makes it to 3-4 classes a week almost every week and as a result is incredibly fit! Most importantly though Sabrina is also a lovely person who is incredibly popular and likeable, forging great friendships with loads of members. She’s also got a great sense of humour, puts up with Mark’s wonderful humour giving it back just as good! Part 1! Our beloved 5:30 Plank Squad! It started when 2 of our members decided to do a bit more to prepare for their December wedding, and continue with MKatz’ tradition of finishing a workout with a 2 minute plank. Part 2! Our beloved 5:30 Plank Squad! It started when 2 of our members decided to do a bit more to prepare for their December wedding, and continue with MKatz’ tradition of finishing a workout with a 2 minute plank. Stripsets. Opdracht: kies een gewicht waarmee je max 6-8 herhalingen kunt maken dus bijna tot spierfalen. Daarna verlaag je het gewicht en maak je direct weer 6-8 hh. En nog eens, en nog eens. Haven’t done a double sesh in a while - that felt soooo good! Fasted double (powered by coffee!) Funnily enough the first hour is harder than the second. Probably my favorite full body workout from my Home Team Guide 💪 . Love this one because you can do it from anywhere! All you need is a weight (doesn’t have to be a kettle-bell. Heck it can be your dog if you don’t have a weight at home). You can use a chair or stairs for the dips and push-ups, & you can run on the street or at a track if you don’t have a treadmill! . I understand that many of you might not always have access to a gym, the time to get there and back, or maybe you just flat out don’t always enjoy being in a room full of other sweaty humans. That is where Home Team has major benefits! . While this Guide is ideal for home workouts, it can also be utilized in the gym, while traveling, or whenever you have access to little equipment. i think one of the most important lessons i learned this year was to never settle. as human beings, we are always capable of improvement. and if you feel like you can do better in a certain aspect of your life, strive for that. don’t stop when you feel like you’ve done “good enough”. keep going. when you reach a goal, take the time to celebrate, then start working on a new one. don’t quit working when you’re not yet satisfied. • if the people around you aren’t cheering for you, surround yourself with new people as well. don’t settle for anyone who doesn’t want to see you winning. don’t stick around for the people that don’t recognize your true value. find the ones who recognize just how lucky they are to have you in their lives, and hold onto them. you deserve nothing less than unconditional love. • my point is... quit forcing yourself to be content with mediocrity. quit allowing yourself to be average when deep down, you know you’re above it. and quit busting your ass for the people who don’t appreciate it. you know what you deserve, and you don’t have to settle for anything less than that. 🦋
