This is SO relevant 🙌🏼 So many of us have the FEAR.. what if I’m not strong enough? What if I’m not fit enough? What if they are all athletes? What if everybody is looking at me? ..literally, the list could go on. BUT what if you are enough to be there? What if you have every right to look after your own BODY and WELLBEING. AND what if every person there is feeling exactly the same way 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know it’s easy to say and a bit more difficult to do, but at some point you need to prioritise YOU and start something which fills you with joy and pride. Even Usain Bolt had to start somewhere, so don’t let the fear be your barrier. Today’s run was planned as a short but fast (for me haha) one, but I’m feeling physically and mentally exhausted today. So I set out with the intention of 4/5 miles at a steady pace that felt right for me. . Once I started I realised I am in my late luteal phase of my menstrual cycle (Meaning I am due on next week). This is the part of my cycle I struggle the most for energy. I definitely felt the same this time last month my body feels heavier than normal and I feel like running and training is an extra effort. (BOYS do not stop reading at this point it may be useful information if you have ladies in your life..especially those of you that are fellow PT’s!) . Your luteal phase is basically the last two weeks, then first two being the follicular phase. (Our cycle begins on day one of our period). This is when we are actually at our most strongest and energised! Now you may not feel like that the first day or two which is understandable, but once they are out of the way it’s a great time to push yourself that bit further! Our oestrogen is at its lowest in the first two weeks which actually makes it the best time to train! Especially week two being a great time for strength training and hitting those pbs! . For me personally I only have a noticeable dip in the last few days of my cycle and automatically adjust my training to this usually. I am however noticing now that my training is different it’s actually more noticeable when running! Definitely something I will be considering whilst planning my runs. For example one in four weeks I will ease off a little, which I should be doing anyway to give my body chance to recover and repair, I will just time it now! . Don’t expect every week to be your best and your strongest. Be patient with your body but listen to it and train accordingly so that you will be getting the best out of it in the long term! . So this Saturday I shall be seeing how my body feels, maybe plan a medium distance and then the following Saturday smash my next long one! . Garlic curried chicken & mung bean bowl: Best dish I’ve made in a while 😋 Slice & cook boneless chicken thighs in a pan with 2 cloves minced garlic, salt, pepper, curry powder and 3 tablespoons tomato paste. Add in kale when chicken is just about finished to steam. Cook separately Basmati rice seasoned with salt, pepper & avo oil. In separate boil, bring to boil 1.5 cups water and then add 1/2 cup Sprouted mung beans with a hint of salt. Boil 6 minutes and then cover & let sit until desired texture Bake sliced sweet potato at 450 for about 20 minutes seasoned in avo oil, salt, cayenne (check frequently to avoid burning) Add all ingredients to a bowl when finished & squeeze fresh lime juice over top

Accountability isn’t about being perfect every single day. It’s about trying and giving it your best effort, even when you don’t feel motivated 🌱 • This morning, I was NOT feeling it at all. Despite being an early sleeper (shoutout to my 9pm bedtime squad 🙌🏽), last night we stayed out pretty late at the pub playing pool and enjoying 1/2 price wings with some friends we don’t see often. Let’s just say, when my alarm went off at 4:30am, I did not want to get up 🙅🏻‍♀️ • On mornings like this, I like to practice a little thing called “5-minute actions” that I learned from @precisionnutrition. Instead of focusing on the big goal (i.e. working out at the gym), I focus on something I can do in 5 minutes that will get me started. In this case, it was going to the bathroom and sitting on the toilet. Because I was already up, my next 5 minute action was to just get into my gym clothes. Since I was already dressed, I might as well prep my pre-workout. And once the bottle of pre-workout is made, I might as well drive to the gym. And you know where it goes from here 💡 • And you know what? A morning that started with a lack of motivation turned into an hour workout! Did I pump out the perfect workout? No. But you know what made today special? I’m headed to Scottsdale, AZ for a quick work trip today. I’ll be gone for 3 days and guess what? I’m not packing any workout clothes, not even any sneakers. In the past I would of used 50% of my carry on space for running shoes and yoga clothes. I would have looked up the hotel gym (which I didn’t even think about until writing this! #progress) I would of looked up nearby yoga studios. I would of stressed about how I would get in daily movement while being at a conference all day and being tired by an abnormal schedule. I still don’t like to be out of my normal sleeping, eating, and daily movement routine - but the mental angst is not worth stressing yourself out about it. 3 days out of routine won’t kill you, 1 week won’t kill you, a 2 week vacation won’t kill you! In order to relinquish food and exercise control you must must must embrace these pauses in your normal routine. The stress you put on yourself worrying about food and exercise while traveling is WORSE than eating the “unhealthy” food and skipping the workout. Ask yourself “is this stressing me out or giving me anxiety?” If it is- don’t do it. My rule for creating healthy habits and living life ✌🏻 #kaitlinb

Ok, I never understood the obsession people had with Ningxia until I started regularly consuming it. It is basically a wolfberry puree (goji berries) 🧉 However, it’s a super special wolfberry – the Ningxia wolfberry. Very high in antioxidants and a bunch of goodness, which I will go into on this post why antioxidants are SO important! To sum up a long story, Gary Young was super passionate about studying people in countries who lived very long lives👵🏼 What he found to be one common denominator was consuming foods super high in antioxidants. One of the specific place he visited was the region of Ningxia, China. He met a few people who were over a hundred years old - still functioning and living as if they were younger than that 🤯 For example, he met an 121 year old woman who would still garden every day like it was no big deal (Yes, 121 years old – What😨). Another person Gary met was a medical doctor 🧑🏼‍⚕️ who was still practicing medicine at the age of 103. Okay. Now I feel worthless 🤣 Anyways, all of these people he ended up speaking with had a commonality – they all consumed the Ningxia wolfberry religiously, which as I mentioned is super high in antioxidants 🌟 The ORAC scale measures the antioxidants in fruits and vegetables - the Ningxia wolfberry is the highest. It rates 25,300 (compared to blueberries, for example, are 2,400). So… pretty much off the charts 📈 nothing is comparable or as powerful. The Ningxia wolfberry also has the highest amount of immune-stimulating polysaccharides which is why I’m downing this before our flight today - not allowing the sickness to come my way 🙌🏼. Lastly, it is super nutrient dense. It contains Vitamin B, Calcium, Magnesium to name a few. So what do antioxidants even do? One of the main roles of antioxidants is the neutralize free radicals 🔬 These are compounds within the body that are very reactive. They are missing an electron, which throws the body off-tilt, these free radicals are very unstable. They want that electron to neutralize which means they may take from other cells in your body. Been working on my #restgame the past 2 months. . After my whole life being a #busybee.. I slowed down and allowed my body to reset fully. . The richness, the depth it has given and continuous to give is something I WISH I could imprint in other people's brain.. . I thought I was doing great, until something underneath it all was saying.. there's something deeper. . Something that you can't reach by yourself. . And so I upped the support from all angles (naturopath, supplementation, taking a full break of life, allowing my man to hold and support me and my team that kept expanding) and what opened up.. . A delicious version of presence, life, peace, trust, excitement, clarity, fire, groundedness and much more of the juicy experiences that so many of us are after but can't yet 'find'. . Thank God for the past 3yrs where I've been relentless in practicing following my heart, whispers of my soul and that gut feeling so many of us have lost touch with. . The past few months have been the cherry on top. Life was already incredible and guess what.. it just keeps getting better, but not in the ways I expected lol #ofcourse. . So if you keep thinking.. Ingredients: 1/2 c drippy cashew butter 1/4 c melted avocado oil 1/4 c maple syrup 1/4 c coconut sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 3/4 c almond flour 4 T coconut flour 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp baking soda Directions: Preheat oven to 350. Wisk together cashew butter, oil, maple syrup, coconut sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. Add in the remaining dry ingredients and wisk until smooth. place in a parchment lined loaf pan and bake for 20-23 minutes. Riuscite a partire con il buonumore e la carica giusta anche quando le giornate sono tristi ed uggiose? . La mia soluzione è coccolarmi con un super porridge, come si fa a non sorridere con una colazione così? 😁 . Ho messo 4 cucchiai di fiocchi di avena piccoli in padella antiaderente con 200ml di latte di mandorle e un pizzico di sale. Ho portato a bollore. Nel frattempo ho caramellato, in pentola antiaderente, con un cucchiaino di olio di cocco, 1 banana e 1 caco. Ho messo nella mia bowl il porridge, ho aggiunto la frutta, un quadretto di cioccolato tagliato a coltello, mandorle e nocciole. Buona giornata a tutti! ❤️
