To lose fat, you can do a mixture of cardio and weight training. One of the major benefits of weight training is that even after finishing your session, your body continues to burn calories throughout the day. This also applies to cardio-based exercises such as sprints and HIIT training. If you are simply doing steady state cardio, you are only burning calories when you are doing your cardio. The second that you stop your session, you stop burning calories. Overall, I definitely recommend starting up weight training AND doing cardio (such as HIIT). Just a side note on the weight training - keep your reps high and weight relatively low. This helps to better promote fat loss. Fat loss is a process, so don’t try to rush it. Play around with different forms of exercise and movements and see what works for you. Sweet potato & zucchini salad 😍 Soooo yummie! Perfect for meal prep or to enjoy at home 🤗 German below (deutsch unten ⬇️) Ingredients * 2 handful of baby spinach * 1 sweet potato * 1/4 zucchini * 1 carrot * Feta cheese * 1/2 orange * Olive oil * Sunflower seeds * Dried Italian herbs How to prepare it 1️⃣ preheat the oven to 200 C 2️⃣ chop the carrot, zucchini and sweet potato in some small cubes and lay them out on an oven tray. Add dried herbs and some olive oil —< cook for around 15-20 min 3️⃣ take the fresh juice of 1/2 orange add some olive oil, salt and pepper 4️⃣ lay out baby spinach on a plate and add oven veggies, the orange dressing and some seeds and sprinkle some feta cheese on top * * * Süßkartoffel & Zucchini Salat 🥗 Dieser leckere Salat eignet sich perfekt fürs meal prep oder um daheim zu genießen. Zutaten * 2 Handvoll Baby Spinat * 1 Süßkartoffel * 1/4 Zucchini * 1 Karotte * Feta * 1/2 orange * Olivenöl * Sonnenblumenkerne * Kräuter der Provence Zubereitung 1️⃣ heize den Ofen auf 200 C vor 2️⃣ schneide die Süßkartoffel, Karotte und Zucchini in Würfel und lege sie auf einem Backblech aus. Listen to the signals 💭 . Are you guilty of going, going, going and then being forced to stop? And then, upon reflection, you realise your body was trying to tell you to stop and slow down but you never listened... . This week, this is me 🙋🏻‍♀️ Feeling slow, tired and lacking energy. I was sick last weekend so I understand my body is recovering. Right now, I’m not completely incapable of going about my day to day duties (obviously) or training BUT I am scaling back the intensity of my training and just ‘moving my body’. The body appreciates movement, we just have to be mindful when and where we need to slow down and scale back those movements 🙏🏻 Listen to the signals, for should you not, you may end up in a worse off situation in terms of injuries /sickness etc. .
