How about the impact of a negative mindset on our health? • We know by now that our thoughts affect the way we feel and react to life. It’s easy to get caught up in a negative way of thinking and sometimes we don’t even realize what that inner voice is saying to us and just how harsh it actually sounds! • I remember the first time I considered listening to that voice in my head and thinking, “I’m not sure HOW it sounds, honestly.” I wasn’t convinced it was talking down to me but I couldn’t remember anything it ever really had to say. • This got me listening more closely. And it turns out, it was speaking so fast and so often that it was quite difficult to discern the message. But I felt the energy behind it when I was honest with myself and the way I was reacting to my limiting beliefs. • That’s where the power of positive affirmations comes in! Now I use affirmations very often to change my frame of mind, to manifest things in my life, and to snap out of negative thought patterns. • An affirmation is usually a small positive statement affirming something for or about you or your life. For example, “I am safe”, “real life exists in the present moment”, and “it is safe to love myself.” • How is your inner voice speaking to you? Take a moment today to listen. Then, see if any positive affirmations come up for you naturally...things you are needing to hear. If not, Pinterest is always a good resource to find some around specific themes like money, love, or self care. • I am always here as well to help you find one if you get stuck! Try repeating your affirmation to yourself (in your head or out loud) 2-3 times or however many times feels right to you. See how you feel! Do you feel an immediate energetic shift? Brunch. 💚 Intermitted fasting is an inevitable part of my everyday life. I eat two times a day, in the period from 1-2 pm to 9 pm and mostly have only wonderful, filling brunch and a home- cooked dinner. Sometimes I have three meals- cause I take juice prior to the brunch, and on the other days I simply skip brunch, have only fresh veggie/fruit juice and do not eat anything else until the dinner. I don't snack in between. And guess what? I am filled with energy and never hungry during the day. Intermitted fasting is very important cause our body doesn't have to digest something all the time and that gives him the proper time to rest, recover and heal. Using different words, if you don't have to clean your house all the time, you can actually relax and enjoy in it. Because of this, I ensure that the meals I get to enjoy are wholesome, stuffed with nutrients and that they provide my body everything it needs. Very often, my brunch also includes a bowl of oats, enriched with fruits, nuts and flax seeds. Flax seeds are so important 💚! Yes, I've just decided I'll add more brunch photos and do that more often. 😄 . brown rice + veggies, go to dinner! these past few weeks ive been super busy and have been going for quick meals that i can keep for days on days. this is such an easy, one pot meal to make🤍 i first just cooked the brown rice normally, adding in turmeric, baharat spice, salt & pepper. once it was almost cooked i added in frozen veggies and premade chicken that was hanging out in my fridge. that’s literally it, such a quick and filling meal🥳 hope everyone has a great week!!

Many couples claim to not know there were any issues in their relationship until there is a major conflict. "I thought everything was fine until he had an affair," or "I had no idea she was so unhappy for so many years," are statements I have heard, unfortunately, many times in my practice. Humans are very good at building defenses: If we don't notice it, we think it doesn't exist. Sometimes couples may notice that they aren't happy, but things aren't "bad enough" to warrant couples therapy. The truth is, the most successful couples are the ones who are preventative in their approach. Seek out help and learn relationship skills now, so that when life gets tough you are better prepared to trudge through the mud together. Couples therapy can also help you become more aware when things are off in your relationship - It helps you become more aware of your wants, need, and feelings as well as your partners wants, needs, and feelings. Going to couples therapy does NOT mean that your relationship is destined to fail or that you have major "problems." You get oil changes to keep your car healthy, regular teeth cleanings to keep your mouth healthy, the flu shot to keep your body healthy.... why wouldn't you do the same for your relationship?? ✨⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Do you practice awareness in your relationship? C O M M U N I T Y 👥 - This past weekend, I attended a sober new moon dance party + sound bath meditation, a family constellations workshop that centered around how your role in your family of origin affects how you interact with the world at large, and an intention + goal setting workshop that focused on using your mind, body, and spirit to expand your potential and create freedom in 2020. To say I packed a lot in would be an understatement. I took a lot of lessons from these events, but one of the things that struck me most was the sense of community that settled into my heart. I’ve spent a VERY long time feeling out of place and misunderstood, so this quiet allowance and feeling of comfort in these various spaces was new. And unexpected. And really wonderful. I spoke in my last post about finally releasing my ideas about what it meant to be “spiritual”, and this is sort of a continuation of that idea. If you’d told me even 6 months ago that I would feel comfortable just showing up to a class with people I didn’t know and talking about my dreams and goals, I’d say you were insane. But I’ve become that kind of person now, and I’m proud of her. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if you’re on the fence about going to that meditation studio in your city or signing up for a workshop that interests you or even going to a class at your gym where you don’t know anyone—just freaking do it. The worst that could happen is you being uncomfortable for an hour. As I reminisce on the current season of my life, one thing that sits heavy on my shoulders is the feeling of not being enough. I’ve always been very raw and transparent about my life and to be honest these last few months have been HARD. Figuring out how I’m going to pay for Synergy, losing touch with my faith, my fitness business not paying all of my bills as needed, having people look UP and look TO me for guidance. I even applied to part time positions to make some extra money but God needed me to stay on this path regardless of the hardships💯 • • Life isn’t a walk in the park now or ever. I enjoy hiking and it’s a goal of mine to visit as many U.S. National Parks as I can. Self care has always been important to me and I strive really hard to keep a good work/life balance. I’m so so excited to share these Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles with you all! These creamy chocolate truffles are SO FUDGY and made with my favorite @hukitchen chocolate! I had my family all try one and they could NOT believe these were made with HEALTHY ingredients!🤩 They are Paleo, Dairy Free AND Vegan!👏🏼 These are the perfect treat to make for a crowd (Super Bowl anyone?!), I know I’ll definitely be making these for Valentine’s Day too❤️🥰 Use my code “VICTORIA15” for 15% off all Hu products when you shop on their site! Check out my recipe below and let me know when you try them out!!. . . 💖Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles💖 2 cups @hukitchen gems, melted 1/2 cup coconut cream 1 tbsp coconut oil 1/2 cup nut butter (I use peanut butter) 1/4 cup coconut sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp sea salt Topping: 1/2 cup @hukitchen gems, melted Directions: In a small pot combine the chocolate, coconut oil and coconut cream until fully melted. Take off the heat and add the coconut sugar, nut butter, vanilla and sea salt. Place the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Using a small cookie scoop or a spoon, roll the mixture into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Note, this can get a bit messy🤣 Once you are finished, place the truffles in the fridge to chill for another 15-30 minutes while you prepare the melted chocolate coating. Melt 1/2 cup Hu Gems in the microwave in 30 second increments until fully melted. Take the truffles out of the fridge and dip them into the melted chocolate, and place back on the parchment lined sheet. Sprinkle each with a little sea salt. Once completed, store these truffles in the fridge in an airtight container and ENJOY🙏🏻 #healthwithvictoria #hukitchen

Tyler & I have had our fair share of adventures together. 🌍 We have swam with 13 foot sharks in Bora Bora, taken mud baths with elephants in Thailand, explored Bali for two weeks while I was newly pregnant, scuba dived off the coast of Mexico after only a 30 minute scuba diving lesson from a guy who didn’t speak very good English (thinking back this was very reckless), hiked waterfalls in Oahu, hiked mountains, deep sea fished, moved across the country in a tiny car with two giant dogs, started Tyler’s business with no one here to help, I could go on.... We both share a love of new experiences and adventures. 🙌🏻 But the crazy thing is I feel the most exciting adventure ahead of us in just the next couple months. We are going to be parents and I think that is the scariest thing we have ever done! But I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else by my side! 💗 Ready to take on this new adventure together.

BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER BITES made with @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi!💥 The PERFECT snack to make for your Super Bowl party!🏈🥳 These buffalo bites are SO crispy and are the perfect game day app!👏🏼 Check out my quick and easy recipe below❤️. . . ✨Buffalo Cauliflower Bites✨ 1 bag @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi 2 tbsp Hot Sauce (I used @franksredhot). . Directions: Preheat your over to 450 degrees. Take the gnocchi out of the bag, spread them out on a baking sheet and bake at 450 degrees for around 35 minutes until golden brown. You can also air-fry them! Toss the cooked cauliflower gnocchi in hot sauce and bake for another 5-10 minutes to crisp them up.
