“Non tutto il grasso viene per nuocere…” Non basta essere molto magre con bassa percentuale (a volte bassissima) di grasso corporeo per “stare in forma”. Cosa significa stare in forma? Una frase così generalizzata che va attentamente contestualizzata. Oggi si prendono tanto di riferimento le persone nel mondo dell’ “Agonismo Estetico” come fossero rappresentati di un corpo sano e in forma. Di quale forma parliamo? Attenzione che alcuni estremismi nulla hanno a che vedere con la salute e la forma fisica dove si ha una piena efficienza di tutti i sistemi corporei. Metti caso che una nuotatrice agonista voglia prendere come riferimento “estetico” un’atleta di Bikini fitness. Con molta probabilità sarebbe l’inizio della fine della sua carriera agonista. Troppo muscolo con poco grasso non galleggia bene… Oppure un giocatore di rugby prende come riferimento un modello magro e tirato fino all’osso. Probabilmente rischierebbe pesantemente nei placcaggi per mancanza di struttura (grasso e muscolo) che attutiscono i colpi. Il grasso quando è “funzionale” è utile! Non tutto il grasso è demonio. Quello che dovrebbe essere l’obiettivo è preservare e all’occorrenza aumentare, in base ai propri obiettivi, la massa magra. Massa muscolare compresa. L’obesità ed il sovrappeso sono decisamente un’altra cosa. Vanno gestite per la salute e non solo per l’estetica. La perdita di grasso deve essere fisiologica e non ai limiti della salute. Gli eccessi non vanno mai bene e purtroppo l’agonismo il più delle volte non è salute! Il fitness costruisce un modello di vita conforme e salutare alla propria persona. Tutti dovremmo ambire alla “nostra” migliore forma fisica ma soprattutto nel rispetto della salute non solo di un modello estetico. A molti atleti il grasso serve eccome! שגרה!שגרה! תחזרו לשגרה! תמשיכו בשגרה! כמה פעמים שמעתם את ההטפות האלה? מי לא אמר לכם ש״רק אם תחליטו...״ וזה סדר עדיפויות.. אז אמרו... בתכל׳ס זה נשמע מאד יפה על הנייר (במקרה שלנו על המסך) אבל תוכניות לבד ומציאות לבד. החיים מסדרים לנו יופי של תוכניות משלהם. מבחינתי, אין כמו לראות אמהות מותשות מגיעות לאימון, או אבות שברחו מערב מקלחת, סבתות שמאסו להיות בייביסיטר.. זה מעורר כבוד והערכה, אבל לחלקינו זה קשה. כן אני יודעת. תתפלאו, אבל גם אני הייתי שם. אז מה עושים? לוותר וזהו? נחכה עד שהילדים יהיו גדולים או עד שנצא לפנסיה? ומה איתנו? טיפ שלי.. כל דקה שתגיעו עדיפה מבכלל לא. כל יעד מתחיל בצעד אחד. כמו בדיאטה. הזנחתם? קדימה! קומו ותמשיכו. אנחנו מחכים. בדיוק באותו מקום. הנה תראו. #fitnessmotivation #move_il #workitmoveit #pilates #trxworkout #spinning #functionaltraining #tabataworkout #hiitworkout

So I decided to start doing #mealprep so I can ensure I’m eating #.healthy food. I work retail so most nights I eat dinner at #work. So I woke up a little early and made these 12 meals! . . First one is ground Italian sausage with sautéed green and red cabbage and roasted sweet potato. . . Second are garlic butter chicken breasts that were smoked on the #traeger at 375 for about forty minutes. Then I have freshly boiled green beans and some oven roasted brussel sprouts! . . So stoked to eat today 😂

Why should we squat? . . . . Your time is precious, so the best exercises are are compound moves – the ones that work a number of muscle groups at the same time. That’s the squat all over. Squats are excellent for all your leg muscles (the quadriceps, hamstrings and calves), and they also strengthen the stabiliser muscles and supporting ligaments which help your main leg muscles work more efficiently, as well as making you stronger and less injury-prone for sports. Done properly, squats also help improve your flexibility and strengthen your ankles and hips, which is another way they help prevent injuries. And we’re still not done yet. Squats also work your abs to help you along the road to an impressive six-pack. Have I convinced you it’s an excellent all-round exercise? Good. Best way to try and sort out two days of eating too much and drinking too much booze? Definitely a lift class, some squats and a run followed by a nice healthy lunch. Definitely made me feel better. . Open Workout 20.2 all alone just doing it for fun as I’m not entered into the Open as had my injury ... but this was not fun 20 mins of my heart rate jacked through the roof but got a score of 16 rounds + 3 reps 4 Dumbell Thrusters 22.5kg , 6 Toes to Bar , 24 Double Unders , for AMRAP of 20 Minutes My lungs were on fire with the taste of blood for a good 20 mins after I finished! STYRKA I BAKSIDA LÅR En viktig faktor till att bli framgångsrik eller att kunna optimera sin prestation är att utesluta svagheter. Baksida lår är något som väldigt ofta är allt för svaga på de atleter jag träffar. Det spelar ingen roll vilken idrott men allt som oftast i idrotter där vi springer maxsprinter bland annat. Har vi en för svag baksida lår vi springer eller utför återupprepade sprints så finns risken för sträckning osv. Så var därför noga med att du som atlet bygger upp en stark baksida som klarar av att komma upp i topphastigheter utan att gå sönder. Yes, you can do this too! I had one of my clients tell me the other day, “Maaaaan I’d love to be able to do *insert one of those sexy exercises that we see on IG that only athletes do*” My initial response was to say “GTFOH! You’re not ready for that!” Then I thought about the fact that my role as a coach is to get clients from point A to point Z (regardless of what their goals may be), as effectively and efficiently as possible. Even though someone may be considered part of the general population (being in NYC, a majority of my clients fall into this category), by default that shouldn’t limit their toolbox to perform certain tasks.
