Food intolerances are no fun but allergies are so much worse. Often these terms are used interchangeably but they are actually quite different. As the parent of a child with a food allergy I’m often surprised at how little regard there can be for food allergies as many people just don’t understand. Part of the problem is that people just don’t understand and are confused about the different terms. Here’s what they mean:⁠ ⁠ 🚦 An intolerance means you can be exposed to a little of that substance and generally get away with it. It’s predominantly a response that occurs within your digestive system that might extend to other organs (such as your skin) over a period of time. The response might occur up to 72 hours after the exposure.⁠ 🚦An allergy is far more serious with more immediate and significant consequences. It’s an immune system response that can occur anywhere in the body causing inflammation and swelling. I live in hope, one day I will find myself again or...... (I'm secretly hoping to re-emerge as a new re-wilded version!). While my gut isn't in the best-working order, my gut-feeling is one of continuing to develop a lifestyle which embraces healthy eating, an inproved sense of self-sufficiency, and a real back-to-basics approach to all we do. Our cultured foods are now all wild-fermented, and I'm serving myself small condiment-sized portions (to keep my gut happy not hangry) even tho I'd happily guts the lot. I can not do without this Fermented Chilli Coleslaw, I start to get a bit jittery 😬 when the jar gets low 🤷🏼‍♀️😳. This time I’ve added some dried Aleppo Pepper flakes that I bought from The Essential Ingredient at the Junction. This should add a little heat and Smokey flavour. Éste es como siempre super cremoso dentro gracias a calabaza (sí a los brownies siempre hay que meter alguna verdura). Os deseo un buen finde! ❤️❤️ . 450g puré de calabaza 100g chocolate negro sin azúcar 40g mantequilla de avellanas 60g harina de arroz 20g cacao desgrasado 4 claras de huevo 1 sobre de @bebidasmixelevenfit sabor praliné o edulcorante al gusto 1 cucharilla levadura en polvo . Fundir chocolate junto con mantequilla de avellanas, añadir puré de calabaza y triturar. Añadir los ingredientes secos y volver a triturar. En un bol batir las claras con pizca de sal hasta punto de nieve. Mezclar muy suave con la masa de calabaza. Hornear 30' en 150°C (molde 20x20cm). Current situation dealing with pain 😭 AGAIN Just as i thought everything me & @jo_naturopath was working and reaching new levels I get rushed to hospital with excruciating pain and the worry that I have a ruptured cyst 😭😭 I feel so upset and let down by my body. I have trying everything I can. Eating clean whole foods, feeding my body for recovery and for it to have constant fuel to be the best. Listening to my body and not training to extremes only walking some days if that’s all I can manage and today I cat even manage to hang a load of washing out. Today I was meant to find out my date for surgery because at the moment I don’t see anything else that we can do to get on top of this. So currently needing any ideas that can be given and Netflix suggestions!

[RECETTE] Jus pommes, carottes et gingembre. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🍽 ingrédients : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • 2 pommes; • 2 carottes; • 1 petit morceau de gingembre. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 👩‍🍳 préparation : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1️⃣ lavez les pommes et les carottes. 2️⃣ pelez l’ensemble des ingrédients et les coupez en morceaux. 3️⃣ mettez dans l’extracteur à jus les carottes, le gingembre et terminez par les pommes. 4️⃣ filtrez au chinois et c’est prêt à être dégusté. Sans fibres, ce jus va permettre d’assimiler les vitamines et les minéraux rapidement. Il est recommandé de privilégier les jus de légumes frais, de préférence bio et non industriels. Mon petit déjeuner favori, le porridge 🥣 à base de flocons d’avoine et de lait végétal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🍽 ingrédients pour 1 bol : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • 40 g de flocons d’avoine; • 250 ml de lait végétal au choix; • banane; • noix de pecan; • 1 carré de chocolat noir bio. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 👩‍🍳 préparation : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1️⃣ faites bouillir le lait dans un casserole à feu moyen. 2️⃣ mettez les flocons d’avoine tout en remuant. 3️⃣ baissez le feu, couvrez eh laissez mijoter 15 minutes environ en remuant régulièrement. 4️⃣ servez dans le bol, décorez avec la banane, les noix de pecan et le carré de chocolat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ses bienfaits : ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Il est sain, nourrissant, gourmand et surtout très facile à préparer !!! 10 minute meal: Shrimp, Avo, & Greens tossed in a lemony-garlicky tahini sauce 😍 Tag a friend! 😁 . recipe credit by @shredhappens This is super easy to whip together. Today I used some Josie’s arugula, fresh watercress, sliced cucumber (they are in there somewhere), diced avocado, fresh jalapeño peppers, added some shrimp and tossed it in the tahini sauce. A nice light + refreshing summer salad that keeps the mind + muscles happy. . Here is how I made it: . 1.Start with some wild deveined shrimp and toss with some olive oil, sea salt, fresh pepper, garlic powder, a little paprika. Experiment & have fun with what you like though. Mix everything well & let sit. . 2.Take a large pan and add 1 or 2 tablespoons olive oil + 1 tbsp minced garlic. After a few seconds, add the shrimp and cook for about 1-1.5 minutes on each side. Don’t overcook as it turns rubbery. Set aside. . 3.In a large bowl, add your greens + veggies. I used a big base of arugula and added fresh watercress, 🥑, sliced jalapeños (deseed these if you dont like it super spicy), some cucumbers. You can add anything you have on hand. . 4.Next is the dressing. I used 2 tablespoons high quality velvety tahini, 1 tablespoon olive oil, juice from 1/2 large lemon, sea salt, 1 tsp freshly minced garlic, and about 1 tablespoon of finely chipped fresh cilantro. Mix everything together, then taste. You’ll have to add more tahini/oil/lemon/salt/herbs based on your preference if you’d like. Everyone is a bit different. . 5.Add the shrimp, add your desired amount of dressing, and mix everything well. I then topped with some sesame seeds.
