So we’re back on the rack pulls, still love this exercise. I’m still on the journey of trying not to use straps to improve my grip strength. FLASHBACK FRIDAY: ABS WORKOUT AUG 2019 vs FEB 2020 🙌👏 Saw this old video where I was struggling to do abs workout on a decline bench. This surprised me heaps because I just did this today at the gym with an added challenge of holding a 7kg dumbbell! How to foam roll properly for back pain!⁣⁣⁣ ✅❌⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ ❤️ | 💾 | 🗣 Like Save and Share if you benefit from my content💯⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ We often neglect recovery when it comes to weightlifting. More than often I see people immediately leave right after a workout and not stretch or do any sort of cool down. I know time may be of essence but performing little things like foam rolling As I show here can help you feel and recover better. ⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ ❌ The incorrect way to foam is having your back hyperextend while also not having your glutes or core engaged throughout the motion. Which will cause even more damage than what’s already done. These are the muscles that support the spine and back. So we need to make sure we are in a neutral and flexed position when doing this.⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ ✅ The proper way to perform this is making sure at all times that your spine and low back are in a neutral position the entire duration of the movement. While also having your glutes and core flexed to keep a solid base for your back. There’s many variations to do this i.e having your arms crossed above your chest, having them towards your side or straight up in the air as long as you keep your back in a neutral position. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ For beginners or someone who has a weak core I’d recommend starting with your hands at your side so your able to give yourself some extra support. ⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ Obviously, this isn’t going to to be a cure for your lower back pain but it can definitely help with some short term relief! 💯

But when the rubber meets the road so many will drop out.
