Happy Thursday errrrone! I'm not going to lie, I haven't been this exhausted in a very long time as this week is just kicking my ass so please bare with me! Good news is tomorrow is my Friday and I'll be able to focus on putting out some meaningful content for all my people trying to dig deeper and get to that next level! Today I was asked a very good question, how do you get a bigger peak in your bicep muscles? The answer is simple, the bicep is made up of two heads where the short-head is on the inside of your arm and responsible for the width of your bicep and the long-head on the outside of you arm makes for the depth or peak in your bicep. So in order to build that very desirable bulge in our biceps we must do long-head focused exercises which are isolated by hand and elbow positioning! When growing any muscle we must also consider genetics as the longer the tendon and more muscle fibers you have play a huge role but are not as important as hard work as hard work beats talent when talent doesn't want to work hard. Always remember in order for a muscle to grow you have to see that muscle contract and expand to the desired size, plain and simple you have to put in the work! It takes time, trail and error, more time, patience, grit, knowledge, dedication, getting knocked down then getting back up over and over but let me tell you it's worth it, enjoy! If our arms are bent at a 75 degree-ish angle, we can hit our targeted area safely, with our shoulders externally rotated.⁣ ⁣. ⭕ Making sure the barbell targets your 𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 is crucial when benching: It's not like this spot is "magical" for some reason, but it allows your shoulders to stay safe throughout the movement. I run because it’s something that my dad does and he inspires me. It gives us something in common, a shared hobby and passion. It gives me the necessary alone time to get outside with my thoughts and God’s creation. It’s a great way to clear my head. I may not always enjoy all of it, but I never regret going afterwards. There’s definitely such a thing as a runner’s high. It increases my strength and my endurance and gives me energy for the rest of the day. I dance because it’s a part of me. It’s that thing that has always been in me; that desire to move anytime I hear music. Because it’s a great expression and release of emotions. It’s therapeutic, and gives me life and energy throughout the day. I do yoga because I want to be limber and strong. Because I want to be able to keep my muscle flexibility while also building a strong foundation. Because it encourages me to breathe properly and to put everything aside for a moment. Because it allows me to rest and work at the same time. Because it also gives me energy and life for the day ahead. I workout because I want to be healthy. Because I want to be strong for myself and for my family. Because I want my boys to grow up with a mom who has a healthy body image and takes care of herself. On Wednesday we wear pink and SBD😬 - Started a different program called the Texas Method Program.. idk why dont ask me why but I just decided to try something different. When I saw 5x5 I thought in my head "piece of cake".. WRONG. lol I was dead by the end of my workout.
