😊Der var engang...😊 ...hvor jeg var i starten af 20'erne og lige flyttet til Vestamager. Jeg startede i det lokale træningscenter til pump og boksning, og her lærte jeg Dorthe og Christian at kende. De var instruktører, og gode til det. De fokuserede på rigtig teknik, og at alle ens kræfter var brugt efter endt time 😅. "JEG ER LIGEGLAD OM DET GØR ONDT!" råbte en veltrænet muskuløs og rødhåret Dorthe. Christian var af et noget mildere gemyt, men lige så seriøs, "BAM BAM BAM" lød det fra ham når han demonstrerede slag. Respekten til dem og motivationen til træning var høj, og jeg kom i rigtig skarp form uden jeg husker at det var et fokus for mig. Vi var mere end bare et træningshold, vi havde alle et venskab og sammenhold. Specielt bokseholdet var unikt. Vi overraskede Christian en dag med at have ens trøjer på, "Fedtebamserne" og ja, jeg har den stadig. Vi optrådte til julefesten for træningscenter med bl.a. one arm push up til musikken Eye of the Tiger 😃. Det var tider 😊. Det var iøvrigt Dorthe og Christian der første gang i mit liv nævnte mine gode skuldre, nu skal vi sammen gøre noget ved hele min krop. At være i trygge, erfarne og motiverende hænder er prisværdigt. 🤪Importance of Enjoying your Workouts🤪 . Here’s me hitting a PB on the Smith Machine Hip Thrusts: 90kg for 7 reps. Oh, that was last week - today I managed 90kg for 8 reps! 🍑 . So what’s the key to this progress? Programme enjoyment. 🥰 If you don’t enjoy your workouts or leave the gym feeling inspired by what you accomplished, then chances are that you’ll soon quit. Time is precious and certainly not worth spending on something where your heart isn’t in it. . So, how do I enjoy what I do? #JUSTDO10 Bulgarian Split Squats Happy Monday! Today I am doing an oldie but goodie. Honestly, I had forgotten about Bulgarian split squats. Not at all on purpose but just hadn't really thought about them. I get so used to a regular squat or lunge that its easy to get into a routine and get stuck. Bulgarian split squats are awesome for many reasons but my favorite reason above all the rest is a Focus on Balance. Balance is so important when performing this exercise. And because its so important, it forces you to take your time in keeping it slow and controlled. Saying my legs are shaky after this one is an understatement, but the strength it builds in the lower body is all worth it. You can use any stable surface to place your foot on. Ie: weight bench, chair, edge of the bed or couch, park/picnic bench, bumper of a car 😂...pretty much anything. If this is your first time or you are worried about losing your balance, you can place your chair near a counter so that as you squat you will have some extra support to hold onto in front of you. I have a confession to make. Yesterday I was supposed to have my cheat meal but instead every meal I had yesterday was a cheat meal. • I didn't take my supplements, I didn't go to the gym, I didn't track my protein and calorie intake, nothing. Why did this happen? I got lazy and didn't feel like doing anything. It wasn't on ourpose but my body didn't want to move. No excuses though, I will own it. • But here is the important thing. Today I simply got back on track. I was already following a program and messed it up yesterday because I didn't utilize my day properly yesterday but today I woke up and the first thing I thing was getting that protein shake in and later today I will go train. • The whole idea here is, stop being a f-king perfectionist. A lot of you quit because you messed up once. Don't go like "screw this I messed up". Just get back on track the next day. Don't try to compensate for it either. JUST. GET. BACK. ON. TRACK... as if nothing happened. • This is something you should tattoo on your skull: if you eat too many calories then don't compensate it for it by under-eating. • It's the same idea as this: what do you do when you fail? Do you quit or do you keep going? You keep going. You mess up your program one day... do you quit or do you get back on track the next day? 🆙️Ultimamente vi ho raccontato delle moltissime novità a partire dal Test del Potenziale Genetico marchiato @xwoman_official ma non vi ho aggiornati sul mio percorso se non nelle stories. Quindi oggi mentre degusto il più classico dei "gelati" fit vi dico che sono tornata a cercare di mantenere il DIGIUNO INTERMITTENTE come standard, dato che le calorie sono scese e MENTALMENTE per me è MILLEMILA volte più appagante concentrarle in 2-3 pasti più ricchi e non fare colazione e spuntini vari. Per quelli del "ma la colazione è il pasto più importante", forse lo era per i minatori che poi rientravano a sera inoltrata, ma la scienza ha fatto qualche passo avanti da allora. Inoltre è scoppiato il caldo e io che bevo sempre come un cammello 🐫ora sto dando il meglio 😂 Il peso oscilla, si muove lento, ma a vista la definizione procede, ed è ciò che conta 😉 Non inchiodatevi sul numero della bilancia che è solo uno degli indicatori di direzione. Intese? Si torna a lavorare, oggi giornata a bassi carbo, questo dolcino di Skyr e mirtilli congelati è un toccasana🧁🤩. Li ho presi in fiera in Darsena questo weekend, non solo schifezze 😜 eheheh, voi ci siete state? E voi, come procede, con l'estate avete incrementato l'idratazione💦 o solo i cocktails 🍹🤣? If you are someone that struggles with sticking to eating healthy or committing to a gym schedule I want you to know to never stop trying. The process of creating healthy eating habits, overall physical and mental health is a never ending story. The focus is to exercise not only for a look but to be healthier from the inside out also. ... These practices will continue to benefit you beyond your prime age. The struggles to make my health and fitness a priority is what kept me focused over the years. I struggle time after time, but I always tried to get better at making fitness a lifestyle and after so many years, fitness became just that. I was working out faithfully five to seven days during the week so just to realize that it is a process. Make time for your health/wellness and schedule everything around it. Doing so will always remind yourself to trust the process. You will soon be living out your goals of living a healthy and balanced life. I smile 😃 thinking back how far I have come in my fitness journey. As they say; building your physique takes time, it does not happen overnight. ... I started young at 10yrs old and just went through the process of countless trial and errors. Fine tuning the process in college got exciting as I was experimenting things I learned in classrooms to myself. Fitness is a lifestyle that you have to commit to every day.
