🔥𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗭🔥 (By @dancudes) - Follow @profitnessmag for optimum Fitness updates and tips! - When training to build muscle and make gains, there are different methods you can implement to up the intensity of your training and really bring your training to the next level and make some additional gainz. Experiment with these and change up your training a bit and have some fun. . Supersets include pairing two exercises that work the same muscle group and doing them back to back with minimal rest in between. They add serious volume to the muscle and force it to recruit those higher threshold fibers as the muscle fatigues to compensate for the lack of force production after fatigue sets in. For example, pairing bench press with pushups. . Drop sets are one of my favourite ways to train and they include performing a set with a given weight then dropping the weight by 15-50% and immediately performing another set. Usually people do three sets, two drops of weight in total. They are a great way to add some serious volume to a muscle. . 1½ reps are something I've been doing for quite some time on some isolated biceps work and have seen awesome results. They involve performing ½ a rep in between full reps of a movement. For biceps curls for example, I bring the weight all the way up, lower to 90 degrees, bring the weight back up to a full contraction, and lower the weight back down to full extension. That would be one rep. So, this is an exciting day. Every day is exciting, but the reason this one is exciting is because it marks halfway through #SeptemberSweat30 I’m about to go on my walk and maybe do some extra cardio. It has gone quickly and slowly all at once. It’s weird when you’ve been asleep to something for so long, when you start being mindful, time changes. I do hope I can maintain this. Do I think that I can exercise every day for the rest of my life? No. Would I like exercise to be something that I do...that’s a part of who I am in a way? Yes. What that looks like will change over time and that’s okay. It’s also almost 60 days since I really focused and started this journey. 60 days ago wasn’t the start of the journey, just this particular chapter. I wanted to do this reflection so I could see it all laid out...how much work I’ve put in and how much progress I’ve made. Maybe if you are reading this, it will help you in some small way. I have gotten inspiration to keep going from so many different places. You never know what will help something click. Changes over the past 60 days: - I’ve done extended fasting - I’ve done time restricted eating - I’ve cut my calories - I’ve been eating keto/low carb/PSMF - I’ve exercised every day for the past 15 days - I’ve increased my water intake - I’ve increased my sleep I’ve made all these changes slowly and methodically. I hope that I will be able to turn this into a life style. I’ve been planning and reflecting to develop a plan to make this a long term lifestyle. I know it won’t come by hope and magic alone. First night walk in a while thanks to my exploding vag! And guys... When I say exploding vag, I’m not just exaggerating that I’ve got a regular bad period. I mean some ridiculous hormonal irregularities and my vag has randomly been Mt. Saint Helensing when it feels like it. Real fun stuff. Run 1 Week 7 - I felt a lot better today, I wasn’t going to risk getting caught in the rain so I attempted a long run on the treadmill. I could barely get past 8ks. I was bored out of my brain so I stopped there. Was still happy that I got a run in, and will start the week on fresh legs.

Water intake How much? Why? – Water is a fundamental human need and an essential aspect for proper and efficient bodily function. I always used to get to Friday and switch would go on in my head that it’s the weekend and I would start to eat and drink everything in sight that was no good for me then I would always start again on a Monday ! Now I still have my my shakes every day so I have the complete nutrition I need on me and I eat as good as I can in the day but always treat myself to a drink and a takeaway at the weekend! 💥LEGS/PUSH/PULL SPLIT💥 . For more fitness/nutrition info follow @roballenfitness 💪🏼 . Here’s a sample of 3 full workouts if you’re looking for a 3 day split. Ideally you would do each day 2x a week but you can rotate through the 3 days even if you lift 4-5x per week 😊 . The idea behind the supersets is to save time and keep the intensity of the workout up. Even though you do 2 exercises back to back, you can take 30 seconds in between them 😅 . Some #TMI: I owe my flexibility to #Karate. I actually used to do 180 degree splits when I was on my period, and the karate tutor would push my shoulders from top so my #groin area would stretch (a hella painful experience). It took me 3-4 years to do a complete split. FFWD to now, I can touch my palms to the ground without bending my knees, touch my head to my knees, and so much more. During karate - we even had to do 50 open hand, knuckles, finger, and knife hand pushups (sometimes all on the same day with 2h training) 😶 It did feel like military training sometimes! Toughest was my #blackbelt test (1) where we had to run for 6kms around Zabeel Park in the heat with a car behind us that’d honk if we’d stop 🤐 (2) where I had to spare with 2-3 guys attacking me - I did win 😏 I’d come home every other day with bruises or soreness 😂 took me 6 years almost to get my black belt!! 🥋 // @bouncemideast is one of those #workouts that challenges your flexibility with gravity making it harder! BOUNCE FIT is easily one of my fav classes where you can lose 800 calories in 45 mins, I lost 5-6 kgs in 3 months when I was a regular 😍 // Thank you @classpassme for pushing me, always, with interesting workouts!
