🙋🏻‍♀️ y’all this is me today for real!! When I work my desk job it’s really difficult to get my steps in and to drink enough water. Here are a few tricks I use to help: •keep water by my desk •get up and walk to the water cooler every 30 minutes •set a reminder on my phone for every hour to get up to walk and stretch •use the farthest bathroom from my desk to get extra steps •do some exercises at my desk when I notice my focus fade (squats, lunges, plank on the desk, arm circles, etc) •add a little extra cardio to my workout •go for a walk or do a home workout if I can’t get to the gym •if available: use the standing desk, use the yoga ball, go outside on my break, take calls standing, workout on my lunch or before my shift. Count down to vacation: t-2 days 🙌🏽 . And that means tossing on that bathing suit and soaking up some vitamin d and vitamin sea ... . “Tossing” was not always the right verb to describe my experience with putting on a swim suit, as this was, for most of my life, an incredible source of anxiety and self loathing. . Even at my ᔕᗰᗩᒪᒪᗴᔕT I was never small enough; toned enough, cute enough, thin enough. . It took me 36 years to finally acknowledge that I AM ENOUGH - just how I am. In this body. And that while my body is important to me, it’s size does not DEFINE me; especially in relation to the patriarchal systems and institutions of beauty that we have been beaten into believing are truth and to be supreme. . By reframing what ᕼᗴᗩᒪTᕼY means to me and recognizing that alllll the shit I did to be healthy was actually to be thin and those two words are NOT synonymous, I have been able to stop obsessing about my weight and start putting that energy towards actually living my effing life. . The work it’s taken to be at this place has been . messy . hard . deep . Imperfect . Ongoing . But so worth it . Because this life is so much more than weight loss; and so are we. . I’m worth it . Unlimited Power! I much enjoy free rides on Santa's Sled of Gainz. Santa brought @mstuck7 and @chaskins15 about 160 extra pounds of weight for this last pull . . This workout got me thinking. On a scale of most basic exercise providing the most benefit, the sled pull has to be the best. There is almost no teaching or difficult technique involved. People seem to naturally get into a strong position when asked to pull heavy ass weight. Squats, deadlifts, overhead press and such are all absolutely fantastic but require a long time to perfect before you can maximize benefit. Happy days!! I'm back to a run with paces and a distance I'm proud of 😍. 9ish miles total for the day. 6 initially, then a break for a client, then 3 to finish. I used 3 half hour #pelotonapp treadmill workouts to make it happen, since the treadmills at the gym stop after 30 minutes. Paces were 10:04, 10:18, and 9:55 for each block. I'm especially pleased with this since I had to dig deep to maintain the faster paces and I've been staying up waaay too late the past 2 nights (for no good reason) so I'm lower than usual on energy 😐. (Actual workouts are in my stories.)

Last week I got to work out with @dolvett from the biggest loser! . . And it was probably the hardest workout of my life! 🤣 I could barely walk for like 3 days! BUT! I felt freaking amazing! (Look at how HARD I was cheezing in this pic 🤣😍) . . It’s crazy how manifestation works, sometimes you think about something a lot and nothing really happens and other times you think something once and you just kinda throw it out there and Magic unfolds! But I remember watching biggest loser one night feeling like a total loser tbh and I loved how this guy coached and loved on people through these crazy hurdles and how big of an impact he made on their lives- not just with a physical change! I remember saying to myself “damn, I gotta meet this guy one day.” AND THEN I DID! Crazy right? . Thoughts really DO become things! . I knew I wanted to be around people like him. That I wanted to change my life. And I knew I also had it in me to help bring light into someone else’s as well . . And here’s the really cool thing I’m really excited about — dolvett and @torriewilson have teamed up with us and we have this KILLER new 8 week program dropping! . . HMU for the deets on this! I’m excited for you to do this with me, and this incredible community!

Why sometimes modifying is your best option. ⬇️⁣ ⁣ “But I had to modify.” “I only did the modified version.”⁣ ⁣ I hear this SO DANG MUCH.⁣ ⁣ To the person who “only” did the modified version: You did SOMETHING. You didn’t decide to not workout. You didn’t decide to continue sitting on the couch. You didn’t decide to give up. You decided that something was better than nothing. And you were right! ✅⁣ ⁣ Did you know that a lot of people perform “normal” exercises, but don’t perform them correctly? This is either because nobody taught them correctly, or they have “too good syndrome”. Yes, I just made that up. 😌 “Too good syndrome” is a syndrome that causes people to think they are too good for the modified versions. They think that doing a modified version won’t do them any good. And they are wrong! ❌⁣ ⁣ Let’s take the simple push-up for example. Ever seen a person perform a push-up where their head & neck are moving more than their arms? How about a person who performs a push-up where you have to really focus to see that they are actually moving?⁣ ⁣ These people should have practiced modified push-ups first. If they did, they would of then felt the tension in their chest and triceps (which are the correct places), instead of the strain in their neck or lower back.⁣ ⁣ Modifying your workouts, exercises, or movements, ultimately sets you up for success. That being said, once you have practiced, and conquered those modifiers, you need to keep progressing. This could look like the following:⁣ ⁣ Beginner: 10 knee push-ups⁣ Moderate: 5 regular push-ups, and 5 knee push-ups⁣ Advanced: 10 regular push-ups⁣ ⁣ So, do NOT think you are ONLY doing modified exercises. You are practicing, you are making progress, and you will continue to make progress.⁣ ⁣ Just stay consistent. 💪🏼

My favourite type of stretching involves movement. They are considered the least safest way to stretch because the movements are fast and jerky. ... ... Why your not getting results . Consistency: Your not being consistent enough, everything takes time, don't throw the towel in after two weeks and start again after four weeks, you'll be taking two steps back for every one step forward, put your mind to it and be prepared for the process! . Weekends: If your training to lose body fat and your in a calorie deficit while training hard Monday to Friday, using Saturday and Sunday as a chance to make up for all the calories you missed out on during the week isn't going to get you results, your digestive system and internal organs don't care what day of the week it is, there still going to deal what there given, yes treat yourself but don't go crazy! . Be honest with yourself: If you can do that extra rep do it, if your capable of picking up the pace a bit then pick it up, you'll get what you work for simple as, if you half heartedly go through the motions then it will show in your results. . Enjoy your training and try not to have a negative mindset in the lead up to any training session. In an overly sensitive world, tough love is sometimes needed 😘

I started my road to fitness about 6 months ago. I’ve played with my diet numerous times, swapped out and incorporated thousands of times. Sundays consist of: Church, relaxing with the pup, Boot camp check ins, and New coach training✨ - Training new women on my team always takes me back to where it started 💕 to the Abby that was trying too hard, striving for constant perfection and cared way too much about what everyone else thought, who hated showing her imperfections, who was nervous to begin sharing her journey publicly on this account. . - One thing I’ve learned over the years is if you want things to change in your life, YOU need to CHANGE. Seeing what I’ve been able to create within just a year, and most importantly who I’ve become has been the most incredible thing I would have never been able to even imagine for myself. And knowing the best is yet to come brings so much excitement to my heart. 1.5 weeks out of the gym and I’m glad to be back 💪🏻 • Don’t worry though, I’ve still been very active. From being a tour guide of Austin for my boyfriend, to hiking, to physically training for a new job.. I’ve still gotten my sweat on! 🤗 • Checkin in today to tell you that staying fit and active doesn’t always mean hitting the gym. 🏆PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION🏆⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 📅This is what 10 months of CONSISTENCY looks like.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🍪I ate pizza, cake, cookies, pies, ice cream.... I did not restrict a single type of food. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🥗I ate a LOT MORE chicken, veggies, rice, and oatmeal.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣ I only lost 2 pounds.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🧐There were hella ups and downs— here is a breakdown of what I’ve learned over the past 10 months:⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🔹The scale isn’t everything. It’s easy to get caught up on daily/weekly weigh-ins..... but the proof is in the PICTURES! If you’re afraid to weigh yourself daily, you just gotta do the damn thing so you can see for yourself that the number does not dictate your progress.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🔹Food is FUEL. On the left, I was overly restricting, eating 500-600 calories during the day and binging on upwards of 1,000 calories at night. On the 10 months between the two photos, I was eating balanced meals and satisfying my cravings. I went from binging almost daily, to almost never. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🔹Sometimes you need to eat more, to lose more. I went through a reverse diet phase of 7 months where my calories got up to 2,300 all while maintaining my weight. This made my cutting phase a lot easier because I had room to decrease my daily nutritional intake. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🔸Long term progress is 100,000X better than a quick crash diet that will leave you in a worse position than before you started the diet. Instant gratification can sometimes cost you a lot more than taking things slowly and doing it the right way. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 🔸With fitness there is never an end goal. You will always want more. Freedom is being able to spend a Wednesday lounging at the beach with my girls followed by an evening of gardening and taking full advantage of this Florida weather🌻 - Being able to give myself the day off + pick when/where I want to work makes me so grateful it hurts! - I know it may sound crazy or small in the grand scheme of things….. but its days like these that remind me of how incredible it is to be in control of my own life - Cheers to no longer counting down till Fridays🥂!

Put yourself at the top of your To-Do list. Every. Single. Day. - Don’t feel selfish taking time to prioritize yourself, your health, and what fills your cup. Life’s busy, I get it. But if you don’t make the time NOW to work on creating the life you want, you’re going to be taking a LOT of time dealing with a life you DONT want. #truthbomb - It all starts from the inside out. You’ve gotta focus on you FIRST before you can pour and radiate into those around you. And when you focus on you, why not absolutely love what you’re doing so much so that you become obsessed with the process?! - But it all starts with YOU and your willingness to do what it takes to make that first step💛

Give the scale a break and free your mind 🧘🏼‍♀️ I used to spend a lot of time looking at the scale and focusing on the number. Now I’m pretty sure I haven’t checked my weight since May 😱 I literally used to be on it multiple times a day freaking out when there were fluctuations and when the number went up after a meal. I felt horrible about my body and wasn’t even reaching my goals. Now I have no clue how much I weigh and I look and feel the best I ever have! My mind isn’t focused on weight anymore but my performance in the gym instead. If this is something you struggle with try giving the scale a break for a month or so and you’ll feel so free 😌

Let’s talk intimidation at the gym 💪🏻 • I’ve covered this topic before, but with many people starting their 2020 fitness resolutions, I think it’s important to cover again. 😇 • Walking into the weight section at the gym is definitely horrifying the first few times. There are a bunch of bulky dudes grunting and throwing weights around. Half of the time you don’t know what to do and feel like a fool just standing there. Here are some of my tips on beating gym intimidation: 🌞Figure out your workout beforehand - knowing what you’re going to be doing will help you in feeling confident (you can follow a workout video or gather exercises from Instagram posts) 🌞Don’t forget your headphones - putting on your favorite music will help distract you from all of the grunting guys around you. 🌞Take a deep breath - as scary as it might be to walk onto the weight floor, being uncomfortable but still doing it a few times will help ease your anxiety. • Just remember, we’ve all been there at some point. If you really want to achieve your fitness goals, you’ll need to do things that you’re not 100% comfortable with. • You’ve got this 👍🏻

The best part about my job? I get to work on my own health & fitness, while inspiring others do the same ✨ - I started coaching because I had been the girl who knew what It felt like to dread trying on clothes at the store because I was always embarrassed with what I saw in the mirror. (Target lighting is the WORST am I right😟😭!?) - - I had been the girl full of doubts + excuses.
