It’s coming quick!! Sometimes it feels so far away and other times....right here. I’m super excited to compete in a regional meet!! This will be the first meet I compete as a Master 💪 and this Prep has been going great so far. . . . My goal is to obviously do better than last meet 😉, just as long as I continue to grow and improve, I’m happy!! . . . If you would have told me 5 years ago...even 2 years ago that I was capable of powerlifting and competing, I wouldn’t have believed you. 😂😂. What I’ve discovered is, I can do this and it’s really about you vs you at the end of the day. You are capable if you want to be. You have to put in the work. Some people think it’s easy, but it’s not. It’s a lot of mental working out too, not just physical. You all know I love supersets well if you are looking for a way to intensify your bench press try adding front raises right after you finish a set and if you use a plate try squeezing it as hard as possible while going through the front raise motion. Another way you can intensify your bench press is add a 2sec hold at the top and bottom of the lift to add more time under tension. Try it out and let me know what you guys think. Man kann nur so viel Progression generieren, wie man auch regenerieren kann, um einen sinnvollen Trainingszyklus auf Dauer aufrecht zu erhalten. Meistens fällt bei mir 1 Wochentag somit auf einen Restday, bei dem ich aber ebenfalls versuche die Aktivität in irgendeiner Form relativ hoch zu halten, sei es durch einen Spaziergang oder was auch immer. Another evidence-based shoutout...take it for what it’s worth, there are endless studies with protein supplementation and resistance training, but what caught my interest was the caloric-restricted component that mirrored a contest prep situation.... This is in favor of ingesting protein < carbohydrate (their control) to retain lean body mass... a good additional group would be a real-food group with equal protein levels to the whey protein group. I’m a big advocate of real food for prep athletes, although I do agree whey supplement would retain more mass than carbohydrate alone. This is the abstract. A goal is a dream with its work boots on 🥾 . . A year ago when this picture was taken I was close to my 28th birthday. Unknowing that months away I would begin my own fitness business. Slowly growing into an empire I solely wanted to dedicate my time to. You ever have a dream so big that it scares you? This was it for me. 🦁 . I didn’t realize back then what it could turn into but coaching has been a single thing I could count on for income that I truly enjoyed working for and I was good at being my own boss. Happy Monday🌞 . . On the first day of the week I LOVE training my shoulders because it’s my favorite body part and the one I see most progress in👍 This workout actually destroyed me so please give it a try😍 . . Workout 🌸Up and overs 🌸Lateral raises into frontal raises 🌸Alternating shoulder press 🌸Barbell shoulder press 🌸Around the worlds 🌸Cable dear delt pulp . . I actually did 1 set of alternating should press, rested, then did 1 set of barbell should press. I repeated this 3 more times for a total of 4 sets. It’s not exactly a superset because there is a rest in between but let me tell you, this combination made my shoulders so shaky😅 . . p.s. Next post will be all about macros since it won the poll on my story👌

🌱Full day of Vegan Meal Prep by @davidclearyveganpt ⁣ ⁣ 🥗This is just a sample day of meals that can be prepared the day before!⁣ ⁣ 🍫Breakfast is choc protein oats with choc protein, oats, soy milk, flax, walnuts, cacao & cacao nibs.⁣ ⁣ 🌰Snacks is protein bread with almond butter & maple syrup⁣ ⁣ 🍠Lunch is tofu, mashed potato, veg & lemon tahini sauce⁣ ⁣ 🍲Dinner is a curried lentil & quinoa with veg.
