Leg day, my favorite day!
I love a good lower body workout. Tonight’s focus was Glutes/Hamstrings & Calves🍑 🔥 •Squats 10-12 reps •Smith machine calf raises 10-12reps •Barbell hip thrusts 10-12 reps •Wide stance leg press 10-12reps •Dumbbell RDLs 10-12reps
Each exercise to be completed with 4-5 sets
I’ll never forget scrolling through my social media and seeing Team Boom 💥 working out together, inspiring ☝️ another and spreading the positive light on social media I had complete FOMO. They looked healthy, happy & on all these amazing trips just having fun together. 💪🏖🍹🥳
At the time I just graduated and even though I was playing pro lacrosss I felt like that year round support & motivation of a team left my life during the off-seasons and it always was depressing. 🙅🏽♂️It affected my health, my mindset & motivation. I thought that constant TEAM chapter of my life was over.
Even though I was at a low in my health & mindset I decided to join Team Boom I online coaching team. 🙋🏻♂️I was craving that positivity they were spreading & I needed to get things back on track.
It put me back on a squad, gave me a support system! And back to surrounding myself with people who are better than me in so many aspects that it pushes me to be a better version of myself. I am forever Grateful for this opportunity & this team!

The holidays are meant to be a joyous time of year, with lots of delicious food and drink. But, for many chronic dieters, this can be a real source of anxiety.
Tell me if this sounds familiar: You anticipate the mountains of buttery potatoes, sugary pie, the fatty prime rib and endless glasses of wine, so you starve yourself all day.
By the time you reach the party you are passed starving (hangry). You blow past your host and shove the first thing you can find in your mouth.
The power-feasting continues until you are physically and emotionally ill, so you go home. Once you go home guilt sets in and in the morning you will start your cleanse.
After a few days of restriction, you’re itching for your festive fix, and so the cycle continues from Thanksgiving until the New Year.
This year, let’s get out of this vicious cycle of restrict-binge-regret-repeat and enjoy the holidays guilt free.
Here are some helpful tips for the season.
DON’T EAT LIKE AN ASSHOLE: Don’t eat massive amounts of everything in sight. No, don’t restrict yourself either, just eat the foods that really satisfy your taste buds. Don’t eat just because it’s there.
SEEK OUT PLEASURE: Eat for pleasure, not for bulk. Make a lap around the tables of food to scope out your festive favorites. Add a small amount of each to your plate and enjoy.
HANG OUT WITH FAMILY, NOT FOOD: Once you’re satisfied, find a friend in the room and stand far enough away from the food that you’d have to make a conscious effort for a second trip through.
WATCH THE LIQUID CALORIES: It’s easy to overdo it on booze, which piles on the calories and interferes with your hunger cues. Pace yourself, drink a wine spritzer of half white wine and half calorie-free seltzer and have a glass of water between alcoholic drinks.
MAKE EVERY BITE GREAT: Serve yourself small portions of your favorites. Remember, even the most decadent foods lose their flavor after three good-sized bites.
EAT SLOWLY AND SAVOR: Give your stomach time to tell your brain you are full.
Remember, the most importantly, do NOT JUDGE YOURSELF if you overdo it. Be kind to yourself and know that tomorrow is another day to eat, drink and feel great

Ooooph you guys, I’m going to be honest. This week is hard...it’s only Wednesday. 😳 it’s so fun to set goals on Sunday night, so hard to stay disciplined through the week. The doing part always seems sexier than it actually is. It’s incredibility difficult to focus on things without losing enthusiasm or getting distracted by the next shinny object that catches our eye. Add a little frustration ( “it’s taking longer than I thought to see improvements”) and we have a perfect setting to give ourselves permission to settle for good enough. I’m not saying that I’ve perfected this, I’m naturally the worst at daily discipline. I’m a free spirit who loves change and surprises, routines make me want to throw up. BUT on this journey to better myself and raise the lid on my fitness abilities, I have learned self-discipline is the only path to total freedom. Freedom to be my best, to crush my goals and to feel amazing about what I am able to accomplish.

✨solution: When you are too tired to workout, the solution honestly is to exercise! Begin with a low intensity warm up and ease into lifting weights, you will have more energy leaving the gym, I promise ya!⠀

✨solution: hi that’s what I’m here for :) I create videos on here for you to perform at home! You can even go for a bike ride, a run, exercising doesn’t have to cost money! ⠀
😐“I don’t have time” or “I am a full time student/employee”⠀
✨solution: instead of trying to find time to workout, think about how you can make time. Some activity is better than none. The night before you start a new day I challenge you to sit down with your calendar/planner and write down the time you have free to get some exercise in. If you seriously don’t have much time at all in your day, start with 10 minutes of exercise, then the next day increase it to 15, and soon that found time will become apart of your schedule.⠀
😩“I need to be motivated to exercise” ⠀
✨solution: Make a chart or keep a log & track your workouts. Creating your workout plan or following someone’s program *cough mine cough* will help you stay motivated! Checking off things on a workout plan is so satisfying and will keep you wanting more. Also, give yourself a reward for meeting your fitness goals- like a yummy treat at the end of the week when you have gone to the gym x amount of times 🤩⠀
