Ja, altså at man burde hange op i sig selv og dyrke den gode vane, frem for undskyldningerne.. Jeg er havnet der, i undskyldningernes land, og jeg kan mærke at jeg har dårlig samvittighed over for mig selv 🙄 Jeg plejer at sige; "jamen, jeg har ikke tiden til det". Og det prøvede jeg at skifte ud med; "jamen, jeg prioritere det ikke". Og av det gjorde nas! Der tog jeg ansvar for min (manglende) handling, og det blev motivationen for at lave en ændring! I was bought up to always think of others and to try and see things from their point of view. Which is what I always do and something I love to bring into my coaching services. I have always found this easier than trying to put myself first which can result in me putting myself down a lot. With this I tend to look at myself more negatively and have done so a lot this year after coming out of prep mode and putting on body fat again. Many woman struggle to see the good in themselves and it takes a long time to get out of that mindset. They are constantly looking for things to change and wishing for things to be different. Ladies if you were to put yourself first, invest in yourself and create a healthier lifestyle whilst working on those changes you want to implement then do you think for once you could? You can still think of others and their needs whilst thinking of yourself, this doesn’t make you selfish. When I am prioritising my training and food selection I automatically feel better in myself and hold myself with more confidence then lying on the sofa eating ice cream and feeling sorry for myself. All it takes is taking action and taking that first step. This one pot dish by @jocooks only takes 30 minutes to make this incredibly delicious dish! ⠀ ⠀ 1 tbsp olive oil 1 lb chicken breasts in small pieces 1/2 tsp salt and pepper 1 onion chopped 4 cloves garlic minced 8 oz pasta uncooked, such as penne, shells, rigatoni, etc. 1 cup chicken broth 2 cups milk 2 cup broccoli cut into small florets 1/4 tsp nutmeg 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded ⠀ ⠀ Instructions Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and season them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and starts to lightly brown. Add the onions, garlic and cook for another 2 minutes until the onions softens. Add the pasta, chicken broth, milk and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low, stir, cover the pot/skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta cooks through. Uncover the pot and stir in the broccoli. me every damn new year from like 2010 till 2015. It’s weird how the brain works isn’t it? For such a long period of my life I was pretty much addicted to trying diets/fads/detox teas/waist trainers which I knew did not work. Like a toxic ex lol.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ For every new diet, for every new fad I would find within the depths of a google search - there was something within me that felt like it *must* work if someone said it did. It was like the desire to want to lose weight and get a bloody six pack outweighed any form of logic.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I felt like eating ‘well’ needed to be hard, miserable and coated in fucking spirulina from holland and barret.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ And when I’d try a weird new restrictive diet - which naturally I couldn’t stick to - I’d blame myself. Like I was the failure. BECAUSE GOD FORBID ! ! ! it was the weird new restrictive diet.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Please don’t carry this mindset with you into this next year. Seriously. As with any dietary template, there is always a more nourishing, nutrient-dense approach that focuses on a diversity of real, whole, unadulterated food and then there are less nourishing options that are energy-dense but are refined and lack fiber and phytochemicals. When it comes to food, many people are dogmatic and have a strong alliance to a particular diet/lifestyle trend. Either you’re a dedicated vegan, a devoted vegetarian, a staunch paleo lover, or on the keto craze. However, we are all unique individuals, and therefore, have different goals and needs. What works for you may not work for me and vice versa. That being said, the foundation for all human diets that unites all dietary camps is an emphasis on whole, unadulterated foods, mostly plants, especially vegetables. She immediately told me she felt slightly uncomfortable ordering this because, well, would people think she was restricting? 🤔She just didn’t like it when it was super sweet.🤷‍♀️ . Honestly? This broke my heart. 💔Social media makes it seem like if you don’t pick the highest calorie/fat/sugar thing to eat, you’re “doing it wrong”. Girlfriends? Big PSA here: THAT’S NOT TRUE!🙅‍♀️ . What matters is that what you order if truly what you want. That YOU are making the decision for that satisfys you, not your food rules. 🙌🏻 Sometimes that’s a full fat peppermint mocha and sometimes it might be a skinny.
