Here is an advanced chest exercise. You do need a few things to do this exercise, a cable crossover machine, Velcro ankle straps and a bench that can go incline and flat. You will be using dumbbells but with the cables attached to the straps on your wrists, it will create constant tension on your chest as you push up the weights. Don't go to heavy if you try this. Its alittle deceiving at first. Hook the cables on the wrist straps first, then pick up the weights. Then once you've done your set, do the reverse. Put the weights down, and then unhook the cables from wrists. Shifting the plains of resistance from different angles can put different tensions on the rear delt. 🔥 AB workout! . Definitely went through a few month period where I started to neglect my core training. . Didn't stop working on it on purpose but with my shoulder still irritating me you can only do so many kegs days & honestly a little unmotivated. So stared working on them again and mannnnn did that strength go away quickly! So true when they say if you don't use it you loose it! 🤦🏻‍♀️ . Noticed my core was getting a little weak when my posture was starting to go back to old ways & my big lifts like deadlifts & squats didn't feel as sturdy! . Your core muscles have so much more involvement than just looking good! 🔺Helps tremendously with posture 🔺Helps reduce injury risk in & out of the gym 🔺Helps reduce back pain 🔺Will improve a lot of your compound lifts 🔺Helps make day to day activities easier . So remember you are training your core for many many more reasons than just looking good! ➰Some form tips: ➖No arching of the back ➖Breath out as your contracting ➖Keep core snagged the entire time . . ⚠️FORM⚠️ . 💪🏼CABLE TRICEPS PUSHDOWN (Using the rope attachment) . 🚨SAFETY TIP: Keep your neck and spine in neutral alignment. Meaning no heavy low back arch, and no craning your neck upright or looking off to your side to look in the mirror. That can result in strained muscles yo. . Now, there are two standing forms to select from that are very simple: . 👉🏼OPTION (1) Feet shoulder width apart and firmly planted, neck and spine in neutral alignment, knees slightly bent and leaning forward. Here, you will have to work harder to stabilize your balance and core due to the increased forward lean while performing the exercise. Be sure to lock your elbows at your sides, aiming ONLY to move your arms from the elbow down. Do not allow the weight to fling your arms out of position, control the weight. . 👉🏼 OPTION (2) Feet shoulder width apart and firmly planted, knees slightly bent, standing upright with neck and spine in neutral alignment, locking elbow at sides aiming to only move your arms from the elbow down. The KEY 🔑 and only difference here is obvi the forward lean has been removed. You’re still engaging your core but the time under tension on your core is not so intense. . ⭐️ For both: aim to hold the weight steady and tense (squeeze) your triceps for a second before releasing as you press the weight to your quads. Lastly, you will gradually separate the rope ends outward, opening into a wide V as you press the weight towards you - collecting upon the return. . 🥳 Tadaaaaa!

T R A I N I N G | C H E S T Chest exercises are normally at the bottom of the list for women, or not even on it at all. Completely avoiding chest is a bad idea as you are training every other part of your body so why would you leave out just that muscle? Training your chest is a great way to build upper body strength - An off-balance training routine could end up developing muscular imbalances. This could lead to bad posture, a bony looking chest, or an inability to perform other exercises correctly. 🏆Some heavy cable hammer curls ⁣ ⁣ 🎓For years I've wanted big biceps, I haven't achieved it just yet but I've learnt a few key points along the way:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Variety of exercises and angles are key. From hammer curls to spider curls, ez bar to supinating dumbbell curls. Changing up equipment and positions allow you to hit and strengthen different muscle fibers, causing an increase in size. ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ Both compounds and isolation exercises work. Supinated chinups are hands down the best compound exercise for biceps. Exercises such as supinated barbell row, supinated low cable row and neutral grip pullups come In at a close second. ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ Finally biceps are like any other muscle, they need to be forced to grow. Progressively overloading every single exercise with more reps, sets, weight and you'll see big differences. Also focus throughout the exercise especially on the squeeze and stretch. ⁣ ⁣ 💯 In the words of the great CT Fletcher "I command you to grow"!

LEGS AND GLUTES Cable only I loooooove trying out different workouts and this session was literally full of them. Not the typical moves I do but these slightly different variations really made the session fun. 1️⃣SINGLE LEG KNEELING PULL THROUGHS So I had to play around with this one until I felt it hit. Pointing my resting leg foot definitely helped. Ladies, let’s have a little chat about a muscle we tend to shy away from... your glutes!👏🏼 You are DEFINITELY going to want to 💗 and save for later... I know I am😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Autocorrect keeps changing it to flutes😂 I’ve mentioned before that this can be a delicate subject, but it shouldn’t be avoided. It is an integral muscle in our body that shouldn’t be neglected. I train glutes at least 2x a week, and in turn I have less lower back pain, and more power in my sprints, squats, deadlifts and more!💃🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Many of my glute workouts are done in private rooms, BUT there are still quite a few glute-targeted workouts you can do in the gym and remain modest.🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Many of you have expressed a concern that glute exercises will build your thighs as well, and that’s not what some of you are looking for. I will put a list of glute isolation exercises below the workout and you can use those at your discretion😘 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of these can be done at home with modifications (resistance bands will imitate cable work!)💗 Also enjoy the clip of me trying to get a good cover photo (the things we do), and all of the chatter between me and mom😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Cable glute abductions - keep standing foot firmly planted, try not to swing. 2. Cable glute kick-backs - you don’t not have to lean all the way over like most tutorials on IG to get great benefits. Engage! 3. Kettlebell/dumbbell squat swings - let the weight swing all the way under your torso. Contract the glutes to bring the weight back up. 4. Bulgarian split squats - You don’t need heavy weight for this in the beginning! 4 sets of 10 is a full glute workout😘 ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Additional isolation exercises: ★ Donkey kicks ★ Fire hydrants ★ Kneeling glute pulse ★ Glute bridge ★ Glute bridge w pulse ★ Single leg glute bridge ★ Hip thrusts (weighted is better and will help with compound lifts) ★ Single leg hip thrust ★ Glute Hyper-extensions ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me know if this was helpful down below!😍⤵️ I know how hard it can be to know what to do for weight-lifting in general, but especially for topics that aren’t talked about much!
