9 years as a boxing coach and I’ve been a coach all on my own. Handling the strength and conditioning and preparation of my fighters. If you know me I’m extremely picky on who I work with. I set my standards high in order for the team to continue to grow stronger. So it does bring me a lot of happiness to say that I have hired an assistant coach Bill Fury who can dedicate his time into helping build the team with his knowledge and experience. Bill has an impressive resume from instructing self defense courses for the police academy and corrections academy. He’s a retired deputy sheriff, recruiting officer, and worked with numerous boxers and Mma fighters in Georgia and Florida. He has a competitive background in amateur boxing, kickboxing, and grappling. Also, he has a class down in Fort Lauderdale called women in distress which aids in helping teach woman self defense tactics against sexual predators. Bill has been on a 30 day probation period and has done magnificent work. Very knowledgeable, hands on not afraid to get physical even at the age of 54. This exercise is for boxers who want to develop correct movement patterns when throwing the jab and the straight. 🎯The boxer is forced to relax his fist prior to clenching it at impact (represented by the catch a ball in this exercise).📝If the boxer were to clench his fist before impact he would slow himself down.
