Kinda did 2 half sessions today. Hit some shoulders and back in the morning (swipe for my 28kg dumbbell press x 8 reps - never before achieved) and 30kg x 2. Reasons for such low rep count: big jump up from the 26’s, previous doubt from being my 1 rep max, and having to faff around and overhead squat with them to be able to start my reps. 😂 Also tried @rix.official ’s challenge “French triceps extension” which was easier than I thought! Did 6 reps and could have kept going, but my videographer stopped filming after 5 as he thought that was it. Also got an awesome new training top come through the post today from @kryjer_world and I will be reppin’ that again soon with some good pics. It’s my new favourite gym top. 💪🏼🔥 I do not work for Kryjer, I just like the brand. SHOULDER DAY 🤩 fully inspired by the intensity queen @yourfitem! she challenged me to try some new moves so that’s exactly what we did and I gotta say i’m actually sore which rarely happens from my shoulder workouts BUT new moves = new muscle fibers being activated = sore muscles. pretty neat, eh? anyway you are definitely gonna wanna SWIPEEE 👉 to check out videos of everything and make sure ya SAVE this to try out these new moves yourself! — 1. lateral raise 4x12 [REALLY focus on mind muscle connection on these - you can see me closing my eyes as that helps me visual the lateral delts contracting every few reps; also choke up on the dumbbell a little so you’re holding it closer to the top - this causes you to externally rotate a smidge and makes it easier to recruit the lateral delts!] 2. poliquin raise dropset 4x24 [do 12 reps at a heavier weight then decrease the weight and do 12 more] 3. dumbbell shoulder press 4x8-10 4. chest supported front raise 4x12 5. poliquin holds 4x1 minute [this is actually torture] 6. face pulls 4x15 — and voila there ya have it the best pump providing and shoulder building workout ever 🤪 my shoulders are stubborn af and take FOREVER to see growth but I find training in a variety of rep ranges and continuously pushing myself to really dig in my last few reps helps a little. females in general can put lower body muscle as quickly and effectively - if not even more so - than males but we struggle a little more in terms of upper body muscle growth, so be patient and tenacious! the gains will come, you just gotta grind for ‘em 😛 but HAPPY HUMP DAY - hope everyone’s had a goooood day and week so far! get out there and train some humps (and by this i mean delts) today ‼️ — outfit deets: blue hoodie: @forever21 (got it last summer) sports bra: @marshalls (also last summer) leggings: @gymshark vital seamless

I just created my new workout plan to really focus on my new goals 😈 I started tracking macros again for the next few months and put myself into a little cut. Going to give it around 8 weeks to trim up a tad. My new training plan involves a tad more cardio and more HIIT moves throughout my lifts to keep my heart rate up. Here’s an example of the type of workouts I’m doing the next 8 weeks. Capitalize on every movement • Now you might be asking, “but wait you’re only coming up a quarter of the way, you’re not doing the full range of motion” • My answer to that is, capitalize on every movement. • For side lateral raises you’re your strongest at this part of the lift. Use that to your advantage. Bump up the weight and bump up the reps. This is also a great movement to eliminate any extra movement and really get some blood flowing to the side delts. Try doing 3 sets of 20-25 reps in the middle/close to the end of your shoulder day and enjoy the burn. • Looking for some new and fun shoulder exercises, what’s your favorite shoulder exercise? the leg day before this one, squats were a biiiiitch- 4 sets of 9 squatting 90lbs (not including the bar) but the kicker is i could only do 2 sets of 9 then the last 2 sets i only did 5 reps BUT THIS LEG DAY 4 SETS, 9 REPS, 90LBS NOT INCLUDING THE BAR NO PROBLEM! that’s what i’m talkin about babbbbyyyyy

You can BE anything @bodyengineers I don’t run away from a challenge because I am afraid. Instead, I run towards it because the only way to escape fear is to trample it beneath your foot. When this picture was taken in January, I knew that CrossFit was something I had to give a change as soon as I stepped into the atmosphere of @vagnhallencrossfit As soon as I came home I decided that I was going to take action since I had been looking in that direction since I last competed in fitness in 2017. It took me 6 months from this picture, and over 1,5 years from when my interest started to rise. Way to long if you ask me and it’s so common to ignore what we really want to try if it requires to step outside the box we so comfortably spend our days in. If it’s one thing I honestly already known for so many years it’s that there’s no need to think about new paths 100 times before setting a foot in that direction. Sooner or later we are going to push ourselves over the invisibly drawn line in our mind anyways so why waste time when life is short? The other option is to bury the curiosity and always have it in the back of our heads, making us feel a bit sad over the fact that we don’t follow our desires. My promise to myself after my first session at Vagnhallen today is to stop wasting time. If we don’t try, there’s no new knowledge and no progress. I literally jumped out of the box today after daring to enter a completely new area of training. If you are the person in the room that knows less, you’re going to learn the most 😉 All the challenges that lie ahead of me in terms of learning that I don’t master makes my head beat faster and motivation rise through the roof. Don’t put yourself in a box, break barriers and dare to learn new things once in a while.
